What can I say about this weekend stay at Linnie's.
Myself and 2 others had a memorable time !!!. It was a celebration and definitely- "time well spent".
Linnie is a sweet lady and good conversationalitst. The space is kept clean and tidy.I loved the coffee and her beautiful garden. Overall we had an wonderful experience. I have already suggested many of my friends to come down to Dunedin to stay at Linnie's.
I will be back here again. I am not done with Dunedin and clearwater ;).
It's may not be the ritz, but it's a very large room that is nicely decorated and appointed. The bed is extremely comfortable and I slept like a baby each night. The neighborhood was quiet and it was a short drive to most places. From the welcome snacks to the powerful fan and laptop loan ... Linnie was a wonderful host. This is a great value.
I stayed here for 3 days during my spring break, she was so kind and sweet like my mom. I felt like I went back to my hometown so relaxed a lot! And when We went to the beach in Tampa she just let us use her beach chairs and towels we were so moved at the time. And she asked us to stay longer for free!! Because we arrived late. It was so unforgettable time. Thanks
Wij zijn gedurende een week bij Linnie geweest. Het is een enorm lief mens ,die er veel aan doet om het je naar het zin te maken. We hebben genoten!!
Linnie and her son (Ceddie) are amazing people! Very friendly and very willing to go out of their way to make us happy and comfortable. It was my son's birthday during the time we were there and Ceddie went out and got him a birthday present and Linnie made him brownies!! They also set up netflix for us! They always were asking if we would like different snacks and different games. We were very happy with our stay. I would definitely go back with one of my kids, if the chance arises. There is a heated pool on the trailer property (along with two other pools) that we both enjoyed using during our stay. The beds were very comfortable. Very nice and safe location to stay. Thank you Linnie for your hospitality and I hope to be able to meet up with you again!

Linnie was kind enough to change our reservation to an earlier arrival, accommodate a late arrival, and give my step son bedding for the floor after that it all goes downhill. Her son's father had just passed on our arrival date, so I suggested that she cancel our reservation to deal with family and she declined. At first she wasn't willing to change our arrival date and then her son told her to reconsider. It was frustrating to find her mobile home because I had 3 addresses for the place; the disappointment began when she said her son just moved in and when she showed us the rest of the "house" and shared bathroom. The side porch where we slept; with indoor/outdoor carpet and sliding glass doors that did not lock, led to the filthy kitchen, down the hall, which she apologized for all the faults, to the bathroom. My mom informed me the next day her afghan on the bed was dirty and she put on the floor. Linnie informed us that her son would be in the backroom, which was attached to the bathroom and had a sliding door that did not lock. None of us felt safe, but the credit card was charged, we felt trapped. She did ask several times if we needed anything from the store, to boil water etc. We were so tired since it was 10pm and we had driven over 700 miles, we just wanted to sleep. At 2:00am we woke up to use the bathroom and her and her son were in the back room talking. About 2:30 am, Linnie went to bed and we could hear her coughing and getting up again. At 4:30am after zero sleep due to noise and loud beds (I think plastic was on them), I got up to use the bathroom and her son was still up talking at normal volume and on the computer. He went outside until I left the room. It was getting light out and we quietly got up and were afraid to shower, but did and if you are taller than 42" don't bother as you will need to squat since the shower head is so low and I was told not to change it. We were offered coffee the night before, but no one was awake to make it. I was so ill from no sleep I was jittery, massive headache and abdominal pain and nauseous. If she was in mourning like her rude emails stated then she should have cancelled our reservation. Overall, the word "thrifty" does not describe this place. Thrifty would be if I only paid $25 to stay there. Buyer Beware. My suggestion Be Honest, I have no problem paying for something if someone is honest and true. I'm so glad others had a positive experience here. I'm all about building relationships, but that didn't happen here. I could go on and on, but choose not too!
Thank You Linnie,
Your room worked well for us and was in a central location. We enjoyed talking with you and sharing some of your stories.
Linnie worked very hard to extend herself and her home to u s. Linn I e gave us excellent adv I ce on local treasures.
Linnie was a very nice host. She was constantly checking up on me and tidying up my room when I was gone (which i never requested). Of note, the house is actually a mobile home in a mobile home park, which was surprising to me as I expected to stay in a house. The room was spacious though.
My home is in a Senior Resort Community of modular homes, and has 3 pools--one heated in the winter--and a gym. My home faces a lovely row of Oaks and Melaleuca trees and the pond. It is walking distance to downtown with all the shops and the fishing pier. My photos and written description display an exact replica of what awaited your visit. And, the price? Well you certainly got a great deal at only $18 per nite. I'm sorry your expectations were greater than I could meet for your stay here. I did enjoy your visit!
Linnie was great!! Very friendly and more than helpful in every way possibly. The room was great and more than i expected. I would definitely recommend staying with Linnie if you are ever in the area.
