This served perfectly as a place to hang my hat for a month while i looked for an apartment. It is small and being on a top bunk at the age of 35 felt weird...
But the place is exactly as advertised, and the bathrooms and kitchen are spotless. They are cleaned every morning, except Sundays.
The whole place was clean and tidy, the fridge in my room was spotless and the staff were very helpful.
Opposite the building is a great coffee shop and the place is also near a grocery store and laundry.
Though, for visitors, SOMA is kind of a weird neighborhood which sometimes feels half-built.
I was so happy with my stay, I could not have asked for more. I was staying here for 4 weeks while taking an intensive teacher-certification program and having this place to stay made it easier for me to work effectively and enjoy living in SF. The location is awesome; 3 minute walk from Market St., close to some of the best parts of San Francisco and served by a lot of public transport. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets nearby. Sonia and Jimmy are so nice; if there is a problem, they will help you. The whole building is very clean, but especially the shared kitchen and bathroom areas which are cleaned daily. My room had everything I needed: a bed, microwave, sink, desk, drawer, and a TV. There are two laundry machines and two dryers located downstairs. The people staying there during my stay were mostly either young, hard-working professionals or traveling tourists, and everyone was really friendly. I will miss staying here and would definitely book here again!
Great host! Very accommodating and kind, truly thoughtful about tenants needs, helpful and kind. The place is very clean and both Sonia and Jimmy do everything possible to make it comfortable.
Location is good. great accommodation and service, too. If this is your first time visit San Francisco, I will definitely recommend to stay here!
Overall I had a good stay. The space is a bit small but started very tidy and new. Staff are helpful and friendly. I was living there for almost 3 months, and I can tell the bath room is all the time clean -- the cleaning person works everyday, even in holiday. There are only a few times I had to go to another floor because both bathrooms are occupied. The location is good. The street feels much safer than the neighbouring streets (6th and 8th).
The room however is not very soundproof.
There is no heating in the room. As it turned cold, I had to buy two extra blankets.
The room was clean and cozy. The appliances worked well. The bed and futon were not as cozy, but it didn't matter after long days out and about in San Francisco. I would definitely stay here again.
Sonia and her team provided great accomodation and service, which made for a very comfortable and practical stay in San Francisco. Faced with an abnormally cold winter period, Sonia provided extra bed covers to make our stay even mor comfortable. Many thanks!
An OK place to stay. In short, the accommodations were similar to a hostel, but cleaner. Good for a quick stay and in a central location. The room was a bit on the darker side, but that pushed us to stay out of the apartment more. Bed wasn't very comfortable and squeaked. Although there were some cons, its a great place to choose for the low rates and clean accommodations.
The location is great and the room is bright and not too small. This is a really great place to stay if you are new to the city. Highly reccomended.
