House - Private room · Sunset Lane, Sedona, AZ 86336, United States

Welcome to a simple private room with attached bath, double bed, TV, wireless and Red Rock view! My solar home is at the end of the road with access to Forest Service trails. No traffic, quiet, private with a view of Cathedral Rock. Walk to Creek!

The Space

One or two hikers will find rest here at the end of the trail. Share the kitchen and patio, park in the garage if you like. Red Rock Crossing on Oak Creek is an easy walk from here. Other trails take you on fantastic view-filled journeys to secret photographic spots.
A dog is OK, as long as it's well-behaved & good with my dog. Yard is fenced. No more than 2 people, one dog.
The bed is a standard full/double, on an elevated platform. Guest size should be limited to 190# each to safely use the bed.
Please note this is at the end of a short section of gravel/dirt road. After rains, it can be a bit rough. You can check with me on current conditions.

Guest Access

Shared kitchen, wireless, Satelite TV, garage, patio, fenced yard with grass. I provide granola bars, cereal, instant oatmeal and coffee for guests, plus space in fridge and cupboard. Excellent drinking water here, right from the tap!
First-day check-in is after 2 pm, before 8:30 pm. Check-out is 11 a.m. the last day of your stay.

Interaction with Guests

Interaction with me is tailored to your preference! If desired, I'll show you my favorite trails, right out the door. Or give you guidance for visiting the best hikes in Sedona. Or you can be on your own; I'll just be around.

  • Blue's home is a hikers heaven. Close by some great Sedona and US landmarks. Blue was gracious enough to show me some great spots for photos and passed on some good tips that she learned from some photographer friends. Room and bathroom are clean and comfortable. Great host and worth the visit.

  • We had a lovely stay with Blue in Sedona. The room and bathroom were very clean and there was plenty of space in the kitchen to store dry and refrigerated goods. Blue helped us find great hikes and great places to eat. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and a wonderful person. Blue, thank you so much for your kindness. Becca & Julia.

  • Blue and her dog Rusty are easy going and very nice! The house is perfect for a base to see Sedona, and especially for hiking, as it is right next to one of areas best trails. The bed is comfortable, wifi works great, and staying there was a pleasure.

  • The morning view was great. There were plenty of hiking options right from Blue's front door. Blue's place is close enough to Sedona to enjoy all it has to offer and far enough away to enjoy the stars in the evening. Blue and Rusty were very welcoming, we enjoyed our stay.

  • Blue, her lovely dog, Rusty and her home is a huge highlight of our US trip. Blue is a wonderful person, pure of heart, passionate and so so helpful and kind. Rusty is great, and is a real nice companion. Her home knocks spots off any hotel with ease and the location is beautiful.
Blue, thank you so much for being such a great host and we really hope our paths will cross once more!

  • Blue's place was amazing! Wonderful views with a great location. Calm. clean and safe atmosphere. Her loving dog rusty was such a sweetheart. There were many trails nearby and she was nice enough to take me on one that went to the top of a mountain and I was able to see for miles. She showed me alot of things I never would have found on my own. Also was kind enough to send me some photos she took of me on top the mountain. She was definitely the best host I've ever had!

  • This was a great getaway for our stay in Sedona. It's off the beaten path away from the crowds. But still close to all the necessities. Blue was a fine and friendly host. Room was clean and orderly. Dog was cute and friendly. Would love to go back for a week and explore the area in depth. You would be pleased with a stay at Hiker Heaven!
