About this listing
This is an older farm house which is very conveniently located about a 3 min walk into Southampton village and 15 min walk to the beach. half of the 8 bedrooms are booked by air bnb guests, families welcome during the week or off season weekends
My name is Anna marie, i am renting an 8 bed room house in the Southampton. Half of the house is taken by friends and myself, and there are 4 bedrooms that are open for rentals all summer and beyond. Each room has the capacity to sleep 2-3 people easily. The location is perfect since it is right in the town of Southampton and only in walking distance from town (less than 5 min walk). The beach is a mile away and the train station about half a mile, so it is possible to come out here without renting a car.
There is a washing machine and a dryer in the house, as well as a TV in the downstairs living room. Big kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, pans and pots, a bbq grill, a jaccuzzi and a large
pool (see photos)/
charge during high season (late may through labor day) is $300 for a room per night. Each room can sleep between 1-3 people/ If you want to rent a room for the whole week, it is possible to do this for $1200 (sleeps up to 3).
There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance.
Only respectful and friendly guests.
Labor day 3 night minimum ($900)
everything, kithcen, bathrooms , pool, jacuzzi
shuttle to beach
jitney or LIRR from NYC
please clean up after yourself

The pictures and description for this listing are incredibly deceptive. The actual house is falling apart- there was a hole in the ceiling above the bed and in the closet along with watermarks. There was NO LOCK on the bedroom door so we had to drag a rocking chair in front of it to feel somewhat safe. Also one of the bed's legs would give in if you bumped into it, causing the bed to collapse on one corner. There was BLACK MOLE on the shower curtain, sand in the beds, ants all over the kitchen, an awful smell in the bedroom and the floor was incredibly dirty.
We never met "Anna Maria" or anyone who was actually living in the house. The "friends and family" are actually other airbnb guests, who in our case played loud karaoke until all hours of the night and left empty wine bottles all over the kitchen. They also ate our leftovers from dinner. It was basically like a free for all.
The only redeemable factor was the surprisingly nice pool and that the location was close to main street.
Do not stay here if you want to feel safe and clean!
Great location, can walk to beach in 20 minutes. Comfortable beds, large kitchen and great atmosphere.
My experience at this Southampton house is horrible. I have traveled around the world and this is the first time ever that I got serious hygiene issues - bed bug bites.
Host said there weren't any bed bugs at this house. FACT is my wife and I got dozens of bites and also rash after staying two nights at the dark middle room of this house. We went to see two doctors and doctors even said these could be bed bug bites. Of course we already left Long Island and couldn't inspect the room ourselves. If the rash/bumps are not caused by bed bugs but other bugs, we would actually be relieved! If it turns out that these are bed bugs, I would sue the host and have them pay for not only my cost of stay and also an exterminator's expense to clear any bed bugs from my own apartment!
My honest review --
Pros: this house is close to restaurants and offers a few bikes for guests to use.
Cons: this house is NOT HYGIENE (!!!), no matter what caused our rash/bumps, bed bugs or whatever. Doctor prescribed creams for the bites but the itchiness is still bothering us so much on day 4!
Our room was spacious and clean. House overall was very busy and fun, lots of different people coming and going. We were looking for an easy, affordable place to stay in the Hamptons which is exactly what we got. Good if you are looking to meet people and need cheap lodging.
Great location, close to the village, 15 min walking to the beach. Nice hosts!
Gracious and very welcoming hostess, with friendly recommendations for things to see and do. Fantastic location near the heart of Southampton. Not the fanciest of venues, but clean and comfortable (think 3 star hotel, not 5 star). We'd definitely stay again.
My friend and I stayed at the house in Southampton for a long weekend at the beginning of June. We honestly could not have asked for a better experience. Our room was large with a king size and two single beds and an en suite bathroom. The kitchen was large and fully equipped with everything we needed. It was a great social area. All linens were clean and fresh and it was a nice added touch to have clean towels available. The pool was large with a great lounging/sunbathing area. The decking out the back was a perfect BBQ,breakfast etc area.
The location was ideal, especially if you do not have a car. We could walk (or use the bikes in the shed) to the Main Street in roughly 5 minutes. It was also a 10 minute walk to the train station. It wasn't far from the beach either.
As you can imagine the social life in the area is like no where else and Cass was a fantastic host. He made sure we were very looked after and had a fabulous holiday in the Hamptons! He has brilliant connections with some of the best spots in the area. We will definitely be returning soon. Can't wait!
