Welcome to my beautiful home in the heart of Carroll gardens, the most charming hood in Brooklyn, a quick, direct 25 minutes to the heart of Manhattan and just a few steps away from some of the best restaurants and quaintest shows in the New York area.
PLEASE NOTE! There IS great free street parking in the area, but we don't have a parking garage per say, and it might take 5-15 minutes to find a spot (though everyone always does). You also might have to move your car on some days before a certain time.
You will be sharing the apartment with me, a globe-trotting actress with a love of everything French. There is a full-sized bed in each room, so these two bedrooms can easily accommodate a group of friends or a family of 3-44 (two parents and two kids). It comfortably fits up to 6 with one person on an air mattress in each room and another on the couch. (I have two air mattresses)
We are a 7 minute walk from the F and G train Carroll street stop and a 15 minute ride to the lower East Side in Manhattan, 15 minutes to J Street metro tech with ACE,FBD,456 trains (that's practically the whole alphabet!
Steps away from the mouth-watering cinnamon rolls at Mazzola's, the best pizza in the country at Lucali's, dangerously addictive guacamole at Calexico and, among dozens of other trendy restaurants and coffee shops. I have a large bathroom, a huge living room flooded with sunlight and great kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meals.
Everyone in the 4 story building is awesome. The first floor neighbors hold meditation on Sundays and throw great parties in their enormous loft to which all are welcome. (don't worry, noise is never a problem) The living room is huge with hardwood floors and lots of sunlight. You don't need to bring a thing and will have access to our large living room, all our kitchenware, books and DVD's. The closet is empty, so there is plenty of room for your things. I'll be on hand to answer any questions you have and give you great tips for visiting our awesome city!
Downsides: The front door can be a little tricky to open on your first try, but I'll train you well. No one's had a problem yet. There is no intercom, so you have to go downstairs to let friends in. There's some noise from the BQE, the highway next to our building. I find it quiet and haven't had any complains on noise level, but it might not be for country bumpkins who need absolute silence.
Each room is about 10x7 ft. The Apartment itself is approximately 750 square feet.
I am looking for respectful people who will treat our apartment tender loving care. When you reach out, please give me a little information about yourself and why you're spending time in the area. I'll ask you to request two references through Airbnb if you haven't already.
*Please note that the apartment is on the 4th floor of a four floor walkup. There is no elevator.
You have two room sin a 3 bedroom that you will be sharing with me or another guest. Please note that it is a 4th floor walk-up and there is noise from the BQE.
Interaction with Guests
I may be present or could be traveling - though I will be on hand to answer questions you may have.
Super easy. 4 blocks to the F train that goes directly into Manhattan.
Other Things to Note
Please read the entire description very carefully. There are pros and cons to the apartment and I want to be sure you're fully prepared for the experience you are getting into!
I'm very easy going and want you to feel at home. I'd just ask a few things to make it easier for us all to live together. Please don't store any of your things in the living room. Be respectful or our neighbors. Ask beforehand if you have additional guests then what you specified in your reservation. Use the air conditioner as much as you like when you are here, but turn it off when you are out of the house. Don't leave your dishes in the sink and try to clean up after yourself as much as you can.
