The riad is in a good location near the spice square which has a number of lovely shops and cafes. It's also near a few great restaurants such as Le Jardin. The walk to the main square is around 7-10 minutes. Jihane (the housekeeper) will walk you to the square on the first day which is very helpful and the route is straightforward to remember after that. The riad itself is as the pictures show; stylish and comfortable. The rooftop was a particular pleasure straight after breakfast and in the evening the riad is lit beautifully. I have been to Marrakesh before and the call to prayer woke me up every day. In this riad the noise from outside is virtually silenced. In terms of day trips, Jihane can arrange for Abdou the taxi driver to take you to the Atlas, for example, and he will stop at the key places (such as the waterfalls). All round we had a great experience and would recommend the riad to a couple or group.
What a lovely time we have had in Marrakech. It started with a warm welcome by Jihane in our riad. The riad was exactly as the photo's we saw on the website. Very comfortable and big but still cosy. I can reccomend it to anyone who wants to visit Marrakech!
The lovely Jihane told us a lot about Marrakech, the culture, food, how to get to the places we wanted to see and much more. She was very helpfull and a great cook!!!!!!! There was a lovely breakfast waiting for us every morning and 3 times we enjoyed her Marrocon diners. She also accompanied us to an authentic hamam, an adventure for us we will never forget!
Thank you Jihane for making us feel so welcome in (website hidden)
Célines Riad was a wonderful and charming home for our big family in the middle of the old Medina. Elegantly restored with rooftop sunbathing, good wifi - and really awesome beds! Céline was a huge help in arranging airport transfer as well as a bunch of other stuff. And Jihane, the housekeeper etc, is very sweet and helped us with pretty much everything during our days in Marrakech, from medina guiding to carpet bargaining. Totally recommended!
My family and I had a great time at Celine’s Marrakech Medina riad. We stayed for only three days in late December, but Celine, Jihane (host), and Abdou (transportation and tour services) ensured that each and every moment was as enjoyable as possible.
There are several notable impressions from our stay.
The riad comes as advertised in Celine’s photos.
Celine’s renovations must be applauded. The rooms, common areas, and open spaces were all thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated.
The central living area is very well lit and inviting.
The rooms are well appointed and offer very effective heating units for the cool winter nights.
The riad was very clean upon arrival and was maintained as such during the course of our stay. In retrospect, the riad's cleanliness was a particularly confidence-inspiring feature of our stay. Kudos to Jihane, the host, for her efforts.
Despite being in the heart of the Marrakech Medina, the riad is fortunately surrounded by quiet, pleasant neighbors, one of which is Jihane.
Celine was as responsive and as helpful as one could expect. She quickly coordinated transportation from the train station upon our arrival and was promptly available for all other questions thereafter.
Abdou, our driver and tour guide, was very knowledgable, well-networked, and respectful. He drove a secure and comfortable vehicle. He also gave informative answers to questions ranging from queries about noteworthy excursions to queries regarding Moroccan political history. He ably and effortlessly guided our unforgettable excursion to the Atlas mountains and secured additional guide services when we wanted to hike to nearby waterfalls.
Jihane, the host, was at once extremely attentive, unshakingly pleasant, very resourceful, and easily trustworthy. She provided everything from room cleaning, breakfast, and helpful referrals (for massages, etc.), to an in-house cooking class. It’s a testament to her superlative service that we missed her deeply even as we continued our Moroccan vacation at a four star hotel in Casablanca.
It’s, in our view, the highest complement we can pay to confirm that we will again seek out Celine, Jihane, and Abdou if ever we return to Marrakech.
We had a great time in MARRAKECH - responsible for that was the lovely place we stayed exclusively - wow! The riad was amazing!
Céline, the owner, was extreme helpful with everything, to organise the transport from the airport, the breakfast, the personal driver (thanks Abdu), spa, hamman, restaurants, etc..
Thank you so much for that Céline. Incredible. Feeling like home!
Jihane, the girl on site, was also amazing. So friendly and helpful, to organise the details, with a visit at the barber (just around the corner) an unforgettable night in the riad with a homemade dinner, flowers, wine, gin, cake and music from the local people. Dancing the hole night - WOWOWOWOWOW, it was amazing Jihane.
Thank you so much, also thank you from the other guys. It was amazing!
I will definitively come back!
