There was a cohesive gasp in the car as we rounded the corner and saw the gorgeous house nestled in the woods. It was love at first sight. We loved our Labor Day weekend stay at this house which we dubbed "Frog Pond". We cooked gourmet meals over the magnificent kitchen (fully stocked with every imaginable appliance. big kudos to the chef of the house). The grounds were impeccably kept and there were so many touches of thoughtfulness both inside and outside the house (Citronella candles for the porch? check. Floaties for the pool? check. DVDs for rainy days? check check).
The place was quiet and peaceful and perfect for our small group. Would love to come back in the future!
Life Motto-"Live life to the fullest today". Even though we love living in New York City, getting away to Hillsdale in Columbia County, NY is a great slice of paradise. If you enjoy hiking, cycling, boating, skiing, or just taking a walk surrounded by nature to absorb the beauty of this mountainous area, this is the greatest place.
