Premium lakefront location in Hiawassee on Lake Chatuge. Amazing views: 270-degree vista of water and mountains. Well-appointed suite w/separate entrance, spacious bedroom + attached private bath. Suite includes a large den with 3 plush leather reclining sofas, 60" TV, with commercial-free HBO, Netflix, Prime Video and Live TV ready-to-use. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets from your own patio, relaxing swing or hammock. Use of the dock, two GoBoats, grill, SUP, two kayaks, beach towels & water floats.

The space
Lakefront Mountain Suite: Enjoy uninterrupted sunrise and sunset views at this gem. The property covers the entire point so it feels secluded, yet oh-so-convenient as we are on the side of the lake closest to town. The suite is on fully paved and not steep roads less than a half mile from the grocery store, walking distance to the brewery, Zaxby's/DQ/Dunkin Donuts/Taco Bell, and only 2.4 easy miles from the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds.

The suite is the first floor of our 2,000+-sq/ft-home.

Because you will be on the point, you’ll have amazing views of mountains and the lake from every angle, every room. There's a large, lakeside, grass lawn -- great for corn hole, lounging in the extra-wide hammock, or roasting s'mores in one of two! firepits. In addition, you'll have a huuuge, private patio to watch gorgeous sunrises AND sunsets. Lots of space to enjoy and plenty of privacy inside and out.

The dock is deep-water all year long.

The entry is lakeside, giving you your own entrance. Luxuriate in ironed, 100% cotton sheets, laundered with unscented detergents and no added chemicals from fabric softeners.

The large den area has an eating/game table, plus 3 leather recliners and a 60" HD TV (commercial free and ready to use: HBO, Netflix, Prime Video, plus DirectTV for live TV — never miss a game!) In the winter you can enjoy your own electric fireplace.

In the dry kitchenette area are:
-microwave
-countertop convection oven/toaster
-Keurig and drip coffee makers, french press, electric kettle. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, various sweeteners and creamers provided
-mid-sized refrigerator
-wine opener and cheese board
-coffee mugs, wine glasses, plates, bowls, and silverware
-induction plate and pan.

It's tidied up daily so you always have clean tableware.

Outdoor is a 36” Blackstone gas grill and an outdoor sink and prep table. We supply grilling utensils but you'll need to bring related supplies, such as foil, and spices other than salt and pepper.

On the large patio is a second (propane) fire pit, table and chairs, a swing, and zero gravity lounge chairs. The area is partially covered so you can stay out of the sun - or not!

The dock is verrrrrry close and we have two GoBoats, two kayaks (one 2-seater and one single), life vests, a paddleboard and floats for your use. We supply oversized lake towels.

NOTE: The suite is not well-suited for infants, toddlers, or kids who can't swim. The suite is not child-proofed and there are no resources (cribs, low eating table, etc.) Pets are not allowed as our dog can be animal reactive.

In the winter, the views of the surrounding mountains are gorgeous and snuggling under luxurious blankets, or getting exercise on long walks or hikes is the order of the day.

Either Mike or Peggy, the owners, will be upstairs and can offer tips on the local area, but our goal is to be as unobtrusive as you want.

Guest access
You will have access to the first floor, dock, GoBoats, float toys, life vests, paddleboard and kayaks. The suite is connected to the top level of our home via a stairwell that is open (no door) but your bedroom and bath are completely private. Mike and I use the top level so you may hear us, but you won't see us unless we are outside. The kitchen and the second floor are not available with the suite rental, nor are the owner's boat slip, jet ski or pontoon (unless we schedule a boat ride ahead of time). If you want to rent a boat or jet ski you can, but talk with us first about your plans as there are lots of options. We have an extra dock for a rented jet ski.

Mike and I have been married for 29 years. We like to get outdoors, meet new people and have fun! Mike is retired from the construction field and is a true McGuyver; Peggy is retired from the public relations field. Our hobbies include scuba, motorcycles and boating and restful activities such as reading. We look for inspiration and kindness and feel blessed beyond measure. We are constantly making updates to the space to make it more convenient and comfortable for guests, family and friends. For years we called our home(s) the "Gardner hotel" and then got the lake house and in 2016 and decided to make it official. So we treat it seriously but don't take ourselves seriously.
