About this listing
Studio with king-sized bed, great view of the City, shower and soaking tub, deck, and yard access. Safe, quiet street close to Mission, Potrero and Dogpatch; public transit close by; and street parking. Kid and pet-friendly. Registered with the City.
San Francisco Short-term Residential Rental Number: STR 000282. Possession of an SF STR Certificate certifies that the registration holder has agreed to comply with the terms of the SF STR Ordinance (SF Administrative Code Section 41A). This ordinance does not require an inspection of the unit by the City for potential Building, Housing, Fire, or other Code violations.
This in-law unit is the bottom floor of our Victorian house. One large room houses the king-sized bed, dining and sitting area, with a fridge, microwave, electric kettle and coffee maker. There is no kitchen. The big bathroom has a soaking tub and separate shower. Kids and well-behaved, flea-free pets welcome. There's an air mattress available for kids or a third adult. You have your own deck and access to the yard, and there's a park across the street-- and great urban hikes just outside the door. The studio has big windows and heated concrete floors.
Washer and dryer available upon request. There's lots of free street parking just outside, but on weekdays from 8-6 it's only one hour parking for non-resident cars (so overnight and weekend parking is fine- and free- but you'll have to move your car during the weekday). There is additional, not time-limited parking available one block away.
Interaction with Guests
We- two adults, one kid, one dog, one cat- live upstairs. (People with pet allergies, please note: the studio is professionally cleaned before each guest, but we allow guests to bring their pets, and we have pets ourselves.)
Potrero Hill is usually sunny and warm, with great views of the city and the fog rolling in to blanket the other parts of the city! There are fantastic restaurants, bars and coffee shops, fun shops, two live music venues and many parks and playgrounds within easy walking distance of our house-- and that's just in Potrero Hill. Walk down 24th Street to all the Mission District has to offer, or over the hill to the Dogpatch neighborhood, with new cool places opening every day.
The 19 Polk Muni line stops on our corner, and brings you to Civic Center and all the way to Fisherman's Wharf. The 10 and 48 stops are one block from our house, bringing you downtown and South of Market, or over the hill to the Dogpatch. A 15 minute walk down 24th to the 24th/Mission Bart stop allows you to Bart to SFO, or the Ferry Building. If you have a car, there's easy parking out front on the street, and you can hop right onto the 101 and the 280 to explore.
Other Things to Note
We have a large, shy, gentle dog. He gets along well with other dogs and is accustomed to children. When we are home, you will likely hear our footsteps and voices as our living room and dining room are above the unit. We're out of the house from 9-6 most weekdays.
Smoking on the deck and in the backyard only. Well-behaved and flea-free pets are welcome.
We ask that you keep noise down between 9 pm and 8 am our neighbors' sake.
Great little spot close to the city. I came to San Francisco to run the marathon and decided to stay at an AirBnb. Portrero Hill was really close to AT&T Park and the Ferry building. Had a great time, would definitly stay here again.
Beautiful apartment. Fresh flowers, wine, chocolate. Great view. Sweet cat who came down to the yard to say hello. It's sometimes difficult to find dog friendly accommodations, especially when your dog is not small enough to fit in a purse. We were so happy to have a comfortable, beautiful place to say with our big Shepherd.
The bottom floor suite was surprisingly airy, artfully appointed, with gracious amenities.
The eclectic neighborhood juts above San Francisco General Hospital and the Mission district. It's also quite historic, something we learned thanks to all the books on San Francisco thoughtfully provided to guests, along with a binder of helpful hints.
If you've done a bit of global traveling to dense urban centers with pockets of sketchy and trendy neighborhoods pieced together into one harrowing yet intoxicating mosaic, this is the place for you. Great eateries, parks, and people watching.
The unit was nicely appointed and stocked and met our expectations. Would definitely stay here again. Free parking up the hill wasn't too difficult to find, however we would park late afternoon and Uber into the city.
Annabrooke was a great host! Potrero Hill was a nice neighborhood and everything we needed was a couple of blocks away. The studio decor was great and the extra goodies were appreciated. The bathroom was super cool. Until next time!
Wow! This studio is absolutely stunning. Modern with concrete floors, huge French doors/windows, and an incredible bathroom (amazing soaking tub and waterfall shower!!). The deck is also superb, loved the swing on it! The location is also pretty close to the mission and downtown Potrero hill with lots of restaurants/bars/shops. We really enjoyed our stay here and all the touches left by the hosts (wine, chocolates, snacks). Also the binder of recommendations was our saving grace. Would absolutely recommend this place! Thanks Annabrooke!
Our stay in Potrero hill was perfect! The studio was clean and the view was amazing. Exactly what we were looking for, for our short stay in San Francisco. Only negative thing is we didn't have more time to spend in the studio and walking around San Fran!
About the Host, Annabrooke
Originally from the East Coast, my husband Craig and I have been happy residents of Potrero Hill for almost ten years. We live on a great block with our son Reno and our dog Chewbacca.
