The Space

Stay in a charming bungalow in downtown Greenville, SC. We are in the West End within walking distance to downtown. The house is less than a mile from the Greenville Drive Stadium and restaurants on South Main. You can catch the free open air trolley to anywhere downtown from the baseball stadium. We have bikes we welcome you to use. If you promise to be careful we'll even let you take our moped for a spin.

Our historic home was built in 1905 and has a fantastic covered front porch where you can relax and enjoy your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

We have a beautiful garden oasis in our backyard. Warm up by the fire pit on a cool night. There is plenty of lounge space to relax and read a book or have a conversation. You are welcome to use our grill or kitchen if you'd like- we only ask that you clean up after yourself.

Your room has beautiful artwork, a comfortable queen size bed, high ceilings, drawer space, a vanity/desk. You also have a private bathroom at the end of the hallway. We have an extensive library if you'd like to borrow a book or magazine. You also have access to Wi-Fi both inside and outside in the yard.

We're happy to make recommendations for local restaurants (we're foodies). We also like to hike and can recommend several places close by.

Two friendly dogs live here- Banana and Clover.

Other Things to Note

This is a family friendly environment. We have two young children. There is no curfew and you'll have a key to come and go as you please. The guest room is located in the front of the house so you won't need to worry about waking anyone up if you are out late.

  • Jessica and Bryan were great hosts and their home was comfortable and inviting. They made excellent recommendations for things to do in Greenville and made my stay a most enjoyable one.

  • Staying with Jessica and Bryan was great! They are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, always at the ready with suggestions. Our accommodations where exactly as described and the bed was SO comfy!

The house is old with a lot of charm, but they have painstakingly redone it over the years and the results are fantastic. Being so close to downtown is perfect and, for the price, can't be beat.

We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying with them again on our next trip to Greenville!

  • Bryan and Jessica were generous hosts. The room and bathroom were well equipped and very comfortable. They provided insider information to help me around town. The location was very convenient to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood.

  • We really enjoyed staying with Jessica and Bryan. Their home was beautiful and our room very clean, quiet and comfortable. They're also located very conveniently to downtown Greenville and other places we needed to go. Waling distance even. Jessica and Bryan were friendly, gracious hosts. We'd likely stay with them again on a return trip to Greenville.

  • This was our first airbnb experience, and it could not have been any better! Jessica was a wonderful and warm hostess, and made us feel welcome to all common areas of her home. The house is lovely; it is comfortable (especially the bed!), relaxing, clean, well-decorated, and in a convenient location. Jessica gave us spot on restaurant recommendations, and it was great getting to know her, Finn, and the dogs. We can not wait to come back and enjoy Greenvile again (without the rain this time).

  • This was our first try at an Airbnb and we will most definitely take this option for our future travels. Jessica and Bryan were wonderful hosts, the sort of people you meet and feel like you've known for many years. Even though we booked the night prior to our visit they quickly responded to our request and made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend staying here as it is close to all of the great restaurants and nightlife that downtown Greenville has to offer and Jessica and Bryan are happy to help you find your way around. Greenville was the highlight of our 6 state road trip!

  • Jessica and Bryan were excellent hosts! They opened their home to my son and I for two nights thus week and made being in Greenville feel like we were at home. They've aptly named their Airbnb "Urban Oasis" and it lives up to the name! It's a beautiful home just a couple blocks from the heart of downtown Greenville. Our room was both extremely comfortable and immaculate, as was our private bath. Finn is an added bonus- what a lovely little guy they have; just about cleaned their beautiful garden out bringing me flowers! We entered strangers and left feeling like we'd made great friends- I truly believe that this is exactly what Airbnb has over any hotel stay- it's a connection- a warm welcome- a feeling of comfort like that you find in your own home. Jessica made recommendations for places to experience while in Greenville, which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for- LunaRosaGelato being one- delizioso!

Both Jessica and Bryan were friendly and yet are more than willing to allow whatever level of conversation their guests are comfortable with. I found them both to be extremely interesting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much, Jessica and Bryan and Finn (and Hannah!) Were looking forward to staying with you again one day. Thanks for making our second Airbnb stay so wonderful! ! Be well!

  • Jessica and Bryan were great hosts and very welcoming. I used to live in Greenville and came back with my boyfriend to visit friends. We got in unexpectedly late and Jessica was (thankfully) waiting up for us. The house is beautiful and the room is very large. We usually drove into town but did walk a couple of times; it is a bit of a walk but an enjoyable one. Unfortunately we usually got in late and were out during the day so we didn't have much time to enjoy their home or hospitality. I don't have a negative thing to say about their home; it is a good value, good location, clean, beautiful decor and outside areas as well as wi-fi. The dogs are very friendly (and cute) but we did wake them up when we got in late at night which probably woke the family up. If you go to bed early(ish) and don't sleep in pretty late then it is great, but we did feel bad waking them up on our way in. This is by no means a fault of theirs, just inherit in staying in a family home. We would most definitely stay with them again and hopefully spend more time (email hidden); we felt like we needed a vacation after our vacation this time.

  • Stayed with Jessica and Bryan while in town for a wedding. Beautiful house in convenient downtown location. Very friendly and relaxed. Accommodated a late night arrival from the west coast. Thank you for hosting us in the South!

  • We loved staying with Jessica and Bryan. Their home truly is an urban oasis. They are stellar hosts and their home is within easy walking distance of the delightful West End part of town and the river walks. The room we stayed in was comfortable, beautifully decorated, private, and quiet. I loved sitting in their back yard with tea in the morning and my husband did the same with coffee. Jessica and Bryan offered us breakfast but we'd had so much at dinner at the great local restaurants, we didn't want it. Even their older sweet dogs were excellent hosts. We can't recommend them highly enough and when we get back to Greenville we will surely stay with them!

Bryan and I have lived in Greenville for 6 years. We are both from Ohio originally. We love music (all kinds), hiking, canoeing, camping, gardening, traveling and cooking. We both are former teachers. Bryan works at a local family owned company doing logistics. I work from home and take care of our 2 year old son, Finnegan, and our new baby, Sylvia. I've lived overseas in Australia and the Czech Republic (Prague) and we both lived in Costa Rica teaching English together before we got married. We got married in Jackson Square in New Orleans- complete with a second line parade. (Bryan helped rebuild there after Katrina). We've both traveled extensively and love meeting new people and discovering new places. We hope for the chance to host you in our lovely home that Bryan and I have spent many hours renovating.
