  • We enjoyed our stay at Nicholas' apartment. It was clean and well kept but the bathroom was a little small. The area is close to several metro stations and it was easy to get anywhere in the city.

  • The flat was perfect - the pictures reflect what to expect. Everything we needed was there from towels and dishes to some spices and coffee filters. The location gave us easy access to good restaurants - thanks Nicholas for the recommendation - shopping, sites, etc. Nicholas was accommodating and helpful. The flat was quite clean, had good views, everything worked, etc. Mostly our family of four (17 and 20 year olds) had enough room to feel comfortable and at home. Thank you for making the first stop along our adventure so wonderful. I would recommend the flat to others.

  • The host, Nicolas, is a nice man who is kind to his guests. The neighbourhood is fine. The apartment needs a thorough cleaning and some new furniture. The stairs are very tight and bringing suitcases up 5 flights is a challenge.

    Response from Nicolas:

    Hi Margaret,

I admit the cleaning wasn't perfect but the word "dirty" is a little bit strong. I cleaned bathroom before your arrival especially sink and toilet.
I told you I had an issue with the maid.

sorry for all these disagreement, I hope you spend some good days in Paris

  • We had a great time in Paris & staying at this beautiful apartment was a big part of it. The flat is located at the 5th floor of a charming old building in a nice and quiet street & directly next to a church. Because of the big windows it is sunny and you have a nice view over the rooftops & the church square.
Our children especially cherished the loft bed which looks like a ship`s cabin. The flat is clean and nicely furnished & we immediately felt at home.
We also liked the neighborhood- you will find there everything you need. If you don't mind walking a little bit longer you can reach Sacre Ceur by foot & you should walk through Batignolles as well, there are plenty of nice restaurants.
Nicolas also is a very nice host. He answered all of my questions quickly & made it possible that we could check in late in the evening.
If we`ll visit paris a second time we would love to stay in Nicolas apartment again!

    Response from Nicolas:

    Hi Dorothea,

I will take care for the teaspoon.
Regarding the bathroom, I went to the neighboor and except if you are more than 1.90m tall no one can see your breast.

  • A great value for a family of 5 staying in Paris! It's a great location: close to the metro, shops, and food. We enjoyed our stay. Some details: My kids nicknamed the 5th floor apartment the "birdhouse" because there is a climb of 80 steps through some narrow stairways to reach it. It's a tougher climb with luggage and at night, but there are press-able hallway switches to light the way when it's dark. During the day the climb is rewarded by a sunlit hallway outside the apartment.

The apartment has big, beautiful windows. The ones in the bedroom look out on a church and a small plaza. The apartment itself is cozy, typical of what you'd expect in a big city. The place where space constraints were toughest was in the bathroom. My husband and son, both more than 6 ft (1.8 meters) tall struggled in the tight shower. Also, my younger kids, both taller than 5'3 (1.6 meters) were not able to stand up in the loft (which they nicknamed "the nest"). Our other struggle was the neighbor's clear view of the bathroom. I know because he waved at me. I made a makeshift blind using a towel. A real window shade would have been better. One other point: while the apartment was clean, the sheets and especially the towels seemed worn, making me reluctant to use them.

Nicolas had a great entertainment set-up. Through his TV we could play movies we brought and we had access to Wi-Fi. He was also a responsive host. He answered our questions quickly, fixed the Wi-Fi the same day it was down, and adjusted to our departure schedule.

All in all, we had a great time in Paris and staying in Nicolas' apartment was a key part of it.

  • Bien.

    Gerne wieder, vielen Dank!

  • Apartment was OK but was a tight squeeze for a family of 5. Nicolas was very helpful and attentive to our needs.

  • Dealing with Nicolas was very easy. He responds fairly quick and was willing to make adjustments based on my schedule.

The apartment itself is as advertised - clean, well-kept, and with good wifi connection. The location is also convenient since it is close to a Metro station (La Fourche) and a stone's throw away from a supermarket and several boulangeries. It is easy to get to where you want to go. We had a lovely stay.

If you do not mind climbing up to the 5th floor, this apartment is perfect. I'll likely book again if I go back to Paris.
