Description

The space

Having moved from New England, the casita is decorated with a smattering of early American antiques giving it a very comfortable feel. The lighting is amazing with a southern exposure bringing warmth into the main living space. Western views from both the living room and bedroom offer a nightly view of Taos' spectacular sunsets.

Guest access

WiFi, Direct TV in the living room and bedroom with sports package, hot tub, private yard with seatings looking in all directions.

Interaction with guests

We generally greet our guests when they arrive and check in to see if all is going smoothly.

The neighborhood

Our neighborhood is comprised of about 50% residents and 50% second homes the owners of which are all wonderful. It is very quiet bordering a very large arroyo offering interesting walks along the upper edge and through the bottom. A short walk will take you to the access of the Southern Boundary hiking trail in the foothills of the Sangre de Christo range.

Getting around

The Chile line is a public transportation bus that can be picked up at the hospital about 1/4 mi. away.

A very comfortable quiet home away from home. Many little extras along with Leolyn's hospitality made our stay wonderful. Just wished we could have stayed longer to use the hot tub and explore Taos some more. Highly recommend staying in Leolyn's casita.

We've stayed in timeshares and hotel suites, but Leolyn's Casita was far more comfortable. A home away from home. We enjoyed the location and extra amenities while participants as Taos tourist. We'd love to stay here again.

Wonderful host, gorgeous casita in a quiet peaceful part of town. It's the personal touches the host provides to make you feel welcome. Our stay was better than staying at any 5 star hotel. There is plenty of room to just relax, enjoy, and be at peace in Taos. Enjoy!

This was our second stay at Leo and Jay's lovely home. Everything is perfect for us - two humans, one dog. We love the neighborhood and views, the amenities of the house itself (esp. the fireplace inside and outside, and hot tub!). The gracious hospitality of both Jay and Leo make this a superb stay for any Taos visit. Planning our next trip right now!

My husband and I moved to New Mexico for the lifestyle. The sun, skiing, hiking, golf all played into our trek out here from various states in New England.
