We liked the place overall and have no real complaints.
If you've never been to San Francisco or a big city like New York then you'll be a bit surprised by the size of the apartment. We didn't have to park a car in the garage but it sure if nice to have if you have one, just beware because getting in and out of it will require some skill and patience. It's really tight and on a VERY busy street. You won't be able to use the bbq grill out back so don't plan on grilling any steaks. There are great cafe's 2 blocks up the street on Union.
Other than that, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.
My wife and I stayed here 3 nights during SF visit in January 2014 and were quite happy with the studio house.
It has a very central location, walking distance to major districts (SF is a compact city anyway), also has easy access to bus lines on Lombard Street.
Having a private garage is a huge plus, saves time, money and effort.
If you are looking for a convenient, low cost, practical place, this place is for you.
If you are looking for large spaces, a fancy view, high end furniture etc., please look elsewhere (and be ready to pay more).
Response time of the landlord is quite good: We had a small trouble with the lock during first entry, someone came to help in 5 minutes.
Staying at Marks was great! We didn't get to meet Mark but that wasn't a problem at all. It was a little small but we didn't mind because it fit us perfectly. The location is the best part, all the best spots are just around the corner and easily in walking distance. I would definitely stay at Marks again!
Mark's apartment was very organized, clean, and quiet. Highly recommend this place to anyone!
It was confortable, clean and quiet.
The location was realy good. It doesn't have a view to the street, just to a small little patio.
We had a great stay at the apartment, its well situated for the fishermans wharf area as well as other touristy districts. The apartment was clean and tidy, the garage was easy to access.
The Place itself is a bit small ... but there is a room for your luggage and clothes! Private parking!! MMM! You can only guess how important it is until you get to SF! Small yard – amazing! Mark is not the one who talks much )) we didn’t even know that he exists – but this was not a problem at al!
Mark's apartment is well equipped, clean, and extremely quiet. Don't let the big street out front fool you, you won't hear a thing once you're inside. The mattress is really comfortable and the sheets are very soft. The appliances work great and are all modern. The location is superbly convenient. Easy walking distance to some good restaurants, supermarket, stores, waterfront, and the usual San Francisco tourist attractions. We chose to rent a car for a day, and the rental car place was less than half an hour away on foot, the garage is a big perk. We had a great time, I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Great Location and having the garage to park in was a definite bonus. The place was clean, bright and comfortable (don't let the hallway entrance deter you). I can't say enough about the location as everything was in walking distance (1 mile to the fisherman's wharf), Close to chestnut, Fillmore and Union street. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in and Check-out was extremely easy with well laid out instructions. Thank-you for making our stay a pleasurable one !!!!!
