The Space

This space is great! It is clean, simple, modest, and super comfortable. It is perfect for either a single/couple or a couple with one child. The bed is a queen Tempur-Pedic. Child can sleep on an air mattress. The yard is great for children too. What really makes this space unique is how separate it feels from the hustle and bustle of Freeport despite being just a few minutes walk away. Small TV does not have cable, but it does have DVD and we do have wireless.

Guest Access

Laundry in the bathroom, shower (no bath), private parking and entrance, small kitchen. All pots, pans, utensils, plates, etc. provided. If you need anything else, just ask! The loft you see the stairs going up to is not included.

We have a double kayak for medium-sized people to loan. We are a 3m drive to put in boats at Porter's Landing, or 5m from the Town Dock in S. Freeport Harbor.

Interaction with Guests

We interact as much, or as little, as guests like. We are a teacher and an architect who are at work most days during the school year. We have three teenage daughters, one of whom is still in high school and living at home. She is a wonderful babysitter! We may need to access the laundry and if so would make arrangements to do so when it is convenient for you. The laundry/bathroom, connects our part of the house with the apartment. Locks, etc. are in place.

  • This was a large nice space with kitchen and large bathroom. Quiet room and quiet neighborhood right off main road in Freeport. Jen met us as we pulled in driveway. Bed was very comfortable.

    Hi Lauren,
Yes, the carpet does need cleaning! I posted that on the AirBnb description in late June after a few new stains were created. The plan is for the cleaners to come next week in between guests - we have two days off. Thanks for the feedback and we hope you enjoyed the stay.

  • Lovely studio with a great location to visit Freeport or as a base for discovering the Portland area. We went to Freeport for a long week-end and when my boyfriend ended up having to work almost all week-end was I ever happy to have booked this little place! I could go shopping, to the amazing Bowstreet market, did yoga classes at Yoga Village - all within walking distance.

  • Super schönes Apartment, sehr nah zu den Outlets, in einem sicheren und sauberen Stadtteil. Unsere Kleine fand das Trampolin am besten, welches wir mitbenutzen durften. Sehr empfehlenswert.

  • Great location, right off the main road, but still plenty private. The room and bath were pleasantly decorated and clean. Everything listed was delivered. Thanks for a nice stay.

  • We had a very pleasant stay in Jennifer's Freeport studio. It was spacious, bright, airy and comfortably furnished. It was also very conveniently located- 15 min drive to Portland or less than a 5 min walk to the downtown area of Freeport. We would stay there again and recommend it.

  • Such a cute, welcoming place to stay! Jennifer was a great host and very responsive. We didn't see her much, but when we had a problem with the DVD player she got it fixed right away even though we said it wasn't necessary. Very comfortable bed. Great place to stay!

  • This is a lovely, charming and bright place to stay in Freeport; very convenient to the centre of town. Jennifer was very pleasant and easy to speak to. She was helpful. We are familiar with Freeport and were able to pretty much look after ourselves, but I felt we could count on Jennifer for anything we might need to know.

  • Large, bright room. Great mattress. Close to shops and restaurants but with a residential feel.

We are a busy family of five, when everyone is home that is! I'm a teacher at our local Waldorf school, Jason is an architect working in Boston most days, and one of our girls is at home in high school. One of our 18-year-old twins will train for Nordic skiing in northern Maine Sept to April, and the other will be in the Middle East for 6 months - Sept through February (using Air BNB after her program ends!). We are pretty relaxed and relatively quiet, but we enjoy a crowd too. We all love meeting new people!
