Simple and elegant: the right room after a day as a tourist. The room is part of a big top-floor apartment in which I live, located in Monti, the oldest neighborhood of Rome. Here the old Roman free citizens started to build their houses, just beside the Imperial area.
The location is strategic for monuments and connections. 10 minutes by feet there are Coliseum, Forum, Domus Aurea, Michelangelo's Moses, S. Maria Maggiore, Palazzo Barberini, Palazzo delle Esposizioni A little farther but easily reachable by foot - Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Piazza Farnese, but also via Veneto, Galleria Borghese, Palazzo Barberini.
The subway (Metro B, Stop Cavour) is three minutes from the apartment, and many buses are near. The neighborhood is definitely charming: lot of life in the night -restaurants, pubs, young people all around the fountain in the square of the quarter. And during the day a seductive mix of trendy new stores and old artisan studios. It's a little village in the heart of the city.
In the apartment there is a big and comfortable kitchen.
The bathroom with 2 old liberty windows looks like a charming old little pool.
Bathroom and kitchen are shared.
Free wifi connection is available.
The apartment -sixth floor with elevator- has also a balcony where you can take a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
I've lived here for 15 years, I speak English and French and I know the city very well: I'll be happy to help you as much I can.

Really great place to stay. 5 to 10 minute walk to major sites on an easy route. House is on very cool street with lots of cafes and cheap places to eat nearby. Also has a convenience shop 2 min walk away.Close to termini and the cavour metro, 2 min walk.
Host is fantastic warm and genuinely interested in your stsh and enjoyment of rome.
Staying at Guilia's home was a beautiful experience. Guilia herself created a cozy and welcoming environment for our stay. A very friendly, gentle and discrete person who had all prepared for our stay in advance. Her advise regarding our stay in Rome proved precious and helped us a lot in enjoying parts of the city not mentioned in our maps. The house location is unique for starting your day in central Rome (despite the fact that the room was so beautifully warm and the mattress didn't let you get out of bed)and very very close to the underground service assisting us accessing a lot of places around the city with ease. Also very handy when returning home from a long city walk. The location of the house is also very close to nice cozy bars and restaurants as well as breakfast places in case one wants to start the day away from the appartment's lovely and well equipment kitchen. I would definitely recommend Giulia's home when visiting Rome.A big thank you for making our stay a worthwhile experience in this stunning city.
We stayed 5 nights in Rome, and our stayed at Giulia's place was great ! The room was really clean, the bed was so comfortable, and the house is really cozy, plus we enjoyed the presence of Giulia who is such a good person !
Our trip in Rome was just marvelous thanks to Giulia. I just can't find words to describe how nice she is! Her apartment is just perfect since it is right in the center of Roma and the subway Cavour is about 3 min from the apartment. we stayed 3 days at her place and we did everything by feet, except the vatican for which we took a bus reachable in 10 min. The weather was perfect, Giulia was adorable, food was excellent.... we can't say more.
Just go to her home and you'll definitely want to come back again! she really worths it! And i'm sure you won't regret it!
Wonderful stay with Giula! Convenient location. We love the lift. It's old school and very interesting. Highlight of our stay.! She's always ready to give us suggestions!
It is a perfect place for those who seek for real Roman spirit. The apartment is located in the best possible area for us - between Colosseum, Palazzo Venezia and beautiful church of Maria Maggiore.
Down stairs in the next building there is very nice Italian restaurant (good prices and food quality, recommended on Tripadvisor) that suits for lunch or dinner.
We came here to be lazy. And it did work. We walked around and needed to use public transport only few times, because everything is so close to this apartment.
Julia provided us with all we needed, nice room with comfortable bed. Towels are included as well. Once I had misunderstanding about the hot water (ended sooner than I expected), because someone else was probably taking bath before me, but it was only once and everything else was good. Kitchen has everything to cook, but we mostly ate out. Giulia is a very nice host. She helped when we needed help. Good speed wireless internet is also available.
Balcony is great for evening glass of wine or tea. The apartment is on 6th floor and come with nice view to the city, as seen in the pictures. No smoking in the apartment and the balcony.
The apartment is well equipped and has cozy vintage feeling.
Giulia has studied art, so she knows much about it and her good taste can be felt in the apartment.
This room is for those who weak more vintage artistic mood and spirit of Roman Roma.
We stayed with Giulia for 3 days this past weekend and can absolutely recommend her. She was incredibly gracious and welcoming to us. Her flat is very sunny and cozy and centrally located. It is a short walk to the nearest subway station and located in a very nice neighborhood. She offered us very good tips for where to eat and what to do in Rome and was very trusting in us using her apartment the entire weekend. If/when we come to Rome again we will definitely get in touch again with Giulia!
Our weekend in Rome was short but great. Giulia was very nice and caring. She advised us well on where to eat and get some ice-cream =)
The room was clean and comfortable. The neighbourhood is nice and it's only 4min walk to the metro.
We had a great time staying in Giulia's apartment. The location was fantastic, steps from the metro and the area was young, artistic and fun. The rom was big and clean, and her building has a lift! We loved exploring the area, which has plenty of cute cafes and bars, and was really close to the Colosseum which was fantastic, but was also quit at night. Not a touritsy area, but plenty to plenty close to all the sites.
Giulia was a great host! She made herself available to us and gave us amazing recommendations on our last day. She also has an adorable son! We would absolutely stay in her apartment again!
