Escape to our charming 825 sq ft A-frame cabin with a cozy loft, nestled in the pines of Twin Lakes, bordering the peaceful San Isabel National Forest. Perfect for couples, families, or individuals looking for a mountain retreat with all the comforts of home.
Within minutes of hiking, biking, fishing, boating, the shores of Colorado's largest glacial lakes, or Mt Elbert Forebay, breathtaking views, old historic town of Twin Lakes, everyone is sure to find something they enjoy.

The space
🌲 Step into a warm and inviting living room with a gas, remote controlled, fireplace – perfect for curling up after a day of exploring, a cozy leather couch/also pull out queen bed – for extra guest or cozy movie night. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to prepare meals, from cookware to a full-size stove and fridge, wine glasses and coffee mugs.
Downstairs, you'll also find a clean and functional bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, along with a laundry room complete with a washer, dryer, and cleaning essentials.
There is no A/C in this cabin but at 10,000 feet of elevation it always cools off at night. The ceiling fans and upstairs door with a screen cool it right off.

Scenic drives and trails are nearby, offering year-round adventure.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

** As mentioned above, the nearest full service town is 20 minutes away (Leadville) 30 minutes to Buena Vista for groceries and gas and other things you may want to grab before heading up to relax and explore.

** Independence pass (State Highway 82 West of Twin Lakes all the way to Aspen) is closed from October to Memorial Day in May. Please plan your trips accordingly.

** We are at approximately 10,000 feet above sea level here at Sequoia Pines, be sure to prepare yourself for high altitude adjustments if you are coming from lower levels.

** You may have the chance to see some wildlife wondering the forests or crossing through the trees! Remember to not approach and let them be. Please don't leave any trash or food of any kind outside or in your vehicles to avoid attracting any UNWANTED wildlife to the cabin.


** Colorado Traction Law requires 4WD/AWD or snow tires or chains from September-May (Check cotrip for specific dates and details)

** Steps and walk ways may be slippery with ice, snow and rain. Please watch your step!

** Delicate Septic System: Toilet Paper ONLY in toilets and no food solids or coffee grounds down the sink - please!
