Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • This was definitely the nicest and most cozy of all my Airbnb stays. Julie and Dan are expert hosts. This guest room is extremely private and has everything you'd need and more. We stayed two nights and did not want to leave! Check in/out and directions could not have been easier. Julie provided tons of great information about local restaurants/activities if you're just in town for fun, like we were. I would HIGHLY recommend this location! :)

  • The place is great, very cute and in excellent location, close to nice restaurants, Liberty Park and easy access to I-80 to get to the mountains. It really felt like our own little house away from home. Great communication with Julie, everything was really easy. Would absolutely recommend staying there!

  • Julie's guesthouse is lovely, easy-to-find, and very quiet. Her instructions were precise and easy to follow. It is located in a very nice and central part of town. I highly recommend her guesthouse to anyone visiting Salt Lake.

  • Highly recommended place!
Me and my friend went to SLC for skiing. We stayed for four days.
Everything was just perfect and it was really a pleasure to stay here. Communication with Julie before we arrived was very nice and she replied promptly on any questions. The place is a very nice, quiet, super clean, cozy studio (really charming), perfect for two persons and has everything you need. We felt very comfortable there. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom had some shampoo, shower gels, etc.
It was easy to get around from there, either to the airport (15 min) or the ski resorts (30 min).
It was very nice to have a binder with some maps / restaurants close by, etc.
    I would definitely stay again!

  • The apartment is exactly as pictured on Airbnb; it's super clean, comfortable and cozy. It's located very close to Liberty Park and there are a few restaurants around the corner. There is a binder in the apartment that's full of things to do in SLC, nearby restaurants, parks, and hikes - and there are even directions to said places! Really helpful!

Julie was super easy to book with; she contacted me right away. And she made it really easy to get a hold of her if we had any questions before arriving.

I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Salt Lake City!

p.s. I loved the chickens in the backyard! They weren't noisy at all and it really made me want chickens of my own!

  • I was in salt lake for work so I was only around for the evening. Everything was great, the place is a nice studio with everything you'd need. The place was very comfortable and clean.

  • The studio is cute, comfortable, and offers just enough space for 2. The studio was very clean, the kitchen had all the basics, and the bed is comfortable. The location is hard to beat, offering easy access to 9th & 9th, Downtown, and Sugarhouse coffeehouses and restaurants. Julie and Dan are friendly and accommodating. We'd stay here again!

  • I spent three nights at Julie's charming cottage. I enjoyed SLC and really liked being so close to Liberty Park. I plan on returning sometime during the summer months so I can play some tennis on the courts with my son. Thanks again Julie for leaving some cream for the great tasting coffee.....what was the brand of that coffee?
    Cheers, Jillian

  • Julie & Dan were the most gracious and flexible hosts! I urgently looking for a place to spend my first few nights in SLC due to a change in plans. Julie was very quick to respond and very flexible with arrivals and departures.

The apartment is clean, warm and adorable (with a great shower). The kitchenette had everything I needed and the stash of coffee was a life saver. I also loved the chicken coop out back!

They are top notch hosts and the apartment is totally great. If you do find yourself there, be sure to check out the thai restaurant and cafe just around the corner!

  • Julie's studio is super cute and in a very convenient location to SLC airport (~15min drive), a nice park and cute restaurants. The studio was very clean and quiet. Parking on the street nearby was readily available. Julie was a great host, very friendly and provided some maps / pamphlets with activities to check out in the area. I stayed over Sundance weekend and found it to be a pretty easy (~30-35min) drive to Park City main street and close to some great ski resorts. I would definitely stay again!

I am a 30's something ballerina turned wildland firefighter turned self-proclaimed geek. I grew up dancing in the Arkansas Ozarks where I attended college and obtained a degree in geography specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I then moved to Southern Utah where I met my husband fighting fire for the US Forest Service. We got married in a cave in Arkansas and then moved back to his home state of Oregon. We lived in the Portland area for three years vastly enjoying all the wine, produce, cuisine and culture that area has to offer. In 2012 I landed my “dream job” as the GIS Specialist for Wildland Fire and Fuels for the Bureau of Land Management here in Salt Lake (basically, I make maps for fires). So, we moved back to Utah and have been enjoying all SLC has to offer. We spend our free time backpacking, skiing, boating, biking, fishing and exploring the great state of Utah. I love the Wasatch Mountains, but really find my peace down in the Red Rocks of Southern Utah. I spend a good bit of my time at home in the garden, where there is so much to learn, grow and can. I love bluegrass music and my husband loves reggae, so we have a good mix of culture going on in our home. In July 2013 we got a black lab puppy that we adore. We have always loved hosting folks and very much look forward to getting to know the Airbnb community.
