Interaction with Guests
My husband and I live in the main house in front, so you may be as private as you like, but have the option of knocking on the door, should any need arise. Come see us!
Quiet, safe, beautiful older neighborhood with tree lined streets and close access to the largest green space in Salt Lake City, Liberty Park. One block to the Park Cafe, best breakfast spot in town.
The bus stop for UTA route # 205 is 1/2 block from our house. The bus stops every 15 minutes and gets you downtown to Salt Lake Central Station in about 20 minutes or less where you can board any UTA transit including light rail lines.
No smoking inside and no pets. Otherwise, make yourself at home.
Julie and Dan were perfect hosts. The apartment was even better than described.....quiet, clean, cozy and safe. We enjoyed the "extras"...coffee, fresh milk, flowers from the garden and all the other details that made our stay enjoyable. The location was perfect: safe neighborhood, easy parking, attractions (Liberty Park/Aviary) and great restaurants, all within walking distance. Thank you Julie & Dan for making our first Airbnb experience awesome!
The space is welcoming, clean and equip with everything a person needs to be comfortable for several days. I loved walking out my front door and seeing the happy chickens hanging out in their coops. Julie and Dan were friendly and kind. I would happily stay here again.
We had a great stay! We were given all the information we needed to arrive and settle into this comfortable and clean back guest house. You can tell they really put a lot of effort into decorating, up-keep and making this place totally accommodating for guests. We had everything we needed. We were totally comfortable. The hosts are very nice. They even brought us an iron and ironing board. That helped us as I was in town for a professional conference. Highly recommended. I also recommend using Uber instead of a taxi. It was 5 bucks into downtown and they show up quickly.
This place worked perfectly for us. The location is close to Liberty Park (we loved the Aviary) and only 8 minutes from Sugar House where our kids live. Street parking was always available and the neighborhood was safe and quiet. Julie and Dan are very friendly and respond quickly to any questions or suggestions. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water in the bath, and the kitchen is outfitted well. We even had a little project one day and Dan let us work in the garage as it was raining outside. Wi-fi worked well and it was a comfy little 2 week haven for us after busy days. Thanks Julie and Dan!
this was a wonderful place to stay - quiet, comfortable, perfect for my trip. the location is great - close to everything I needed. you thought of everything for this little house, thanks for an excellent stay!
The place was great, perfect for two people, everything you need for a great vacation. Julie and her husband are really nice !!! Thanks again Julie!!
It was my first time using airbnb.
Some background first.
I began working in Salt Lake City in October on a contract basis and my employer put me up in the Extended Stay America in the Sugar House area for the month of October. As October was coming to an end, they extended my contract to December. I said great but not where I am staying. The company was reimbursing me for accommodations but I wanted to find a more comfortable place I can call home for the next two months. I could not find short-term furnished studio apartment lease and I did not want to stay at Extended America. My friend told me about airbnb and I just started looking and found this place in the Liberty Park area. I thought why not. I rented this studio for the entire month of November and will also rent for the entire month of December.
The place feels like home and has all the amenities for the short term and long term. It is quiet and very comfortable. Convenient location and walking distance to Liberty Park. Airport is only 8 miles away.
Julie is great and responded to my initial inquiry and questions in a timely matter and showed the place to me before committing.
If I ever come back or have friends and/or relatives visiting Salt Lake City, I will recommend this Liberty Park studio.
I am a 30's something ballerina turned wildland firefighter turned self-proclaimed geek. I grew up dancing in the Arkansas Ozarks where I attended college and obtained a degree in geography specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I then moved to Southern Utah where I met my husband fighting fire for the US Forest Service. We got married in a cave in Arkansas and then moved back to his home state of Oregon. We lived in the Portland area for three years vastly enjoying all the wine, produce, cuisine and culture that area has to offer. In 2012 I landed my “dream job” as the GIS Specialist for Wildland Fire and Fuels for the Bureau of Land Management here in Salt Lake (basically, I make maps for fires). So, we moved back to Utah and have been enjoying all SLC has to offer. We spend our free time backpacking, skiing, boating, biking, fishing and exploring the great state of Utah. I love the Wasatch Mountains, but really find my peace down in the Red Rocks of Southern Utah. I spend a good bit of my time at home in the garden, where there is so much to learn, grow and can. I love bluegrass music and my husband loves reggae, so we have a good mix of culture going on in our home. In July 2013 we got a black lab puppy that we adore. We have always loved hosting folks and very much look forward to getting to know the Airbnb community.
