Tucked away on a quiet street, this spacious 1500 sq. ft. home has an eclectic, contemporary interior with a relaxing, Zen vibe. The dining room seats six comfortably, while the second bedroom features a Murphy’s Bed – perfect when you want a little extra floor space. Plus, you’ll have all of the amenities of home: modern kitchen appliances, new washer/dryer, flat screen TV, 100 cable channels, wireless Internet access, and surround sound system in the common areas. There’s plenty of outdoor space too. Grill out on the back deck, or enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch. Best of all, you’ll be just around the corner from many of Austin’s favorite local restaurants, coffee shops, bars, grocery stores, hike and bike trails, and live music venues. Sleeps four people comfortably.
Things to be aware of during your stay:
Be careful not to lock yourself out of the house – the front door can only be opened with a key once closed. The wood floors are original and made of very soft wood. Please do not wear thin heels like stilettos (other shoes are ok) in the house since they tend to make dents where you walk – we discovered this the hard way. If you rearrange the furniture be mindful and do not drag the furniture, as this will scratch the floors. (Also please return furniture to its original place when you leave)
Smoking is absolutely prohibited in the house. You may smoke on the porch
As dictated by our insurance policy, the fireplace may NOT be used during your stay. Never leave burning candles on while you are gone. Daily cleaning services are not provided unless you have arranged for it prior to your arrival. You may contact the Owner to arrange for additional cleaning services. There is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen and in the laundry room – be sure to make a mental note of where it is in case of an emergency. There is a first-aid kit in the bathroom cabinet, under the sink.
I moved to Austin in 1995 and immediately fell in love with this town. I had no doubt that this is where I would settle once I graduated from UT. We are now a family of 5 so I decided to rent it to Austin's finest visitors. I love interacting with travelers and try to accommodate and individual needs you may have. If you need tips on anything in Austin, please don't hesitate to ask.
