There is a pub close by, (10 minute walk) that does really good food, from 6 in the evening. We also have a very nice Cafe that caters for all day breakfast, lunches etc. We highly recommend both of these venues as we are prepared to eat there ourselves!
There are many other very good places to eat.
The local shops have an excellent selection of food etc.
For those traveling by public transport, take a train to Camborne, then a bus to St. Keverne, change in Helston. We are a ten or fifteen minute walk from the center of St. Keverne on a public footpath. It's advisable to travel on a weekday as the bus transport is not so good at the weekend!
There are some great pubs and restaurants close by. We recommend the Five Pilchards for lunch and evening meals. We also recommend Fat Apples Cafe for breakfast and lunch. There are a large number of other eating places that we can recommend when you are here.
Public transport is to St. Keverne. This is non existent on Sundays. To travel here by train and bus, will bring you to St. Keverne. From St. Keverne we are one mile along a public footpath.
If you come by public transport, take a train to Camborne, and bus to Helston, for ease of travel it could be recommended that you take a taxi from Helston to our door!
We are almost as far south west as you can travel without going into the sea!
An area of unspoilt natural beauty.
Chirp with the birds in the morning!
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 1 night.
What an amazing place! We booked Jack Sparrow House for our anniversary and weren't disappointed, it looked exactly like the pictures. The directions emailed to us were spot on, we had no trouble finding it and received a warm welcome on arrival.
The attention to detail in the design of the house was brilliant and we only wished we could have stayed for longer than one night. We enjoyed an evening meal at the local pub (Five Pilchards Inn - a 10/15 minute walk through woodland) and breakfast at the Fat Apple Cafe - both recommended too!
We hope to be able to go back to Jack Sparrow House and for longer next time.
Thanks very much for such wonderful, unusual accommodation!
Staying in the Jack Sparrow House was an amazing experience. It was simply magical.
Unfortunately we did not get to meet Jonathan but his friend told us/showed us everything we needed to know.
My partner and I had a great time here and didn't want to leave! To top it off, the horse box shower was great, really warm!
We hope to come back again one day :-)
Wonderful place, we really enjoyed our stay.
The location is great, nearby towns have nice pubs and restaurants.
The view from the house is wonderful, really nice to wake up to.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
An interesting experience. The house was well equipped with all the necessities to make some food. It was an easy 10 min walk to the coast as well. The room was warm as well. Unfortunately we did not meet the host however one of his friends accommodated us well. The only problem we had was with the shower. When I first went in there were no lights working however one of the members of his house sorted this out for us. After waiting for roughly 10minutes for the shower to heat up it was still freezing so I gave up. A different experience but for the amount of money paid (£114) I would have expected a hot shower.
A very cozy experience! As promised, we got a wake-up from the bird chirping. Lovely view and we had everything we needed. Even if you might hesitate to take a shower, it worked really great! The fat apple was excellent for breakfast and the Greenhouse in St Kaverne was amazing for dinner!
Beautiful place, and very well stocked with everything you need. Warm too, despite the winds from the coastline -- which happens to be a 10 minute walk away. We had a wonderful stay. No issues finding the place at all; directions were very good. Would highly recommend a stay here.
This Jack Sparrow house was our favourite choice on Jonathan's property. It was great for a short novelty stay in Cornwall far out amongst nature. It had a small heater, a toilet inside the house, a comfy bed (quite small for 2 6ft people, but manageable) and enough room to move around.
We were warmly greeted at the property by one of Jonathan's staff and given a detailed tour as well as coals to start our fire.
Our first trip to Cornwall was made very pleasant by staying in this house. I would recommend staying here if all attractions aren't too long of a drive from the property itself - to make it easier and quicker to get around.
The night we came in was a Saturday, so there seemed to be a lot of socialising happening in the main house which carried on to outside. Can't blame anyone as it was the weekend, but you can hear everything very easily.
Lovely to be around nature and listen to the birds!

About the Host, Jonathan
I live on the Lizard peninsular, as I find this area one of the most inspirational in the UK. I am an artist/builder who creates spaces of light and beauty. My aim is to welcome you into a dwelling for your pleasure and relaxation. I enjoy using ideas of times passed and endeavor to achieve an ‘other worldliness’ in my work.
I spend my time in constant contemplation of the next project in mind. Other than that you can find me enjoying music and dance, or Cornish coastal walking with my partner and dog.
