The beautiful rooms look on to a lovely courtyard garden that provides the heart of the sanctuary in the heart of the city. Guests go to sleep to the sound of fountains and wake up to the sound of birds. But yet you're in the middle of it all

This place was quite lovely, comfortable and convenient. Ariana is friendly, warm and helpful. It was a true pleasure to stay at the sanctuary, which is quite appropriately named. We would not hesitate to stay here again, and hope we'll have another chance before long.
Thank you so much for the marvelous visit!
Loved, loved this place. I was looking for something different, not just a chain hotel. I found it! Ariana goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Great place to stay. Hope to stay again next time I'm in town.
stayed with a friend in both the "sanctuary" and the "maisonette" with shared courtyard. it allowed us to be together but have some privacy. we loved our experience and will plan to visit again soon!
We were very pleased with our time staying at Ariana's in New Orleans. The location is great with easy access to the streetcar and just a few blocks from the Garden District. If you want to see more of NOLA than the French Quarter this is a great location with easy access to get around.
We had some unexpected challenges come up during our trip and Ariana went above and beyond with her responsiveness and helpfulness. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend the place to friends and family planning a trip to New Orleans.
Ariana was an excellent host, and the place was even better than expected! The location was great, and the space had such a relaxing feel. I loved that I could hear the fountain outside while I slept. Ariana was really relaxed about our check-in and check-out times, which was hugely appreciated because we had early/late flights. She also left snacks and drinks, which was such a nice touch! My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer- if I go back this will be the first place I try to reserve!
Ariana was a friendly host, accommodating, and the place was great. It's a beautifully furnished apartment on a quiet street. The bed is very comfortable. There's no stove, but there is a small hotplate. There is plenty of outside space that you can share with neighbors. I highly recommend this flat.
We are frequent visitors to New Orleans but this was our first time for Mardi Gras. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ariana was warm and welcoming, the lodging was clean and cozy, and we felt secure and at home immediately. We really enjoyed how quiet and relaxing it was sitting in the courtyard and loved hanging out with Felix the cat. The location was perfect for the parades but would be ideal for a visit any other time of the year. It is a short walk to Magazine Street an even shorter walk to catch the streetcar Uptown or to The French Quarter.
Ariana went above and beyond, checking in on us daily and even invited us and some of our friends to join in a pig roast. Fun and delicious! We would definitely stay at the Sanctuary again and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the delight of staying in a New Orleans neighborhood.

Ariana loves New Orleans and making sure that folks have a great time while they are here. She gets no greater satisfaction than when her guests fall in love with the city. She's a world traveled Southerner with the a knack for hospitality and an appreciation of privacy.
