Clean, stylish and private newly renovated apartment in upcountry Pukalani. Centrally located only 15 minutes to the airport, Kahului and North Shore beaches. Good base to discover Haleakala, Hana and upcountry Maui but still only a 30 to 45 minute drive to the tourist centers of Kihei and Lahaina.
The spacious apartment has recently been renovated and features bamboo wood floors and a new queen bed with quality linens. There is also a fold out sofa bed in the living room.
High speed wifi internet is included along with a new 40 inch LCD TV with Netflix so there is always a steady supply of movies if you choose to stay in.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances such as a toaster, coffee maker, blender, kettle and microwave as well as all the pots and pans required to put together a meal if you like to cook. You also have an outdoor barbeque if you would like to grill outdoors. There is a huge Foodland supermarket only a couple of minutes up the road to get supplies from.
If you prefer eating out there are a bunch of restaurants and bars close by in Pukalani and Makawao. We leave descriptions and directions to all the local restaurants posted in the apartment.
There is a great uncrowded golf course and swimming pool very close by in Pukalani.
Your hosts live upstairs and are happy to fill you in about all that the island has to offer, we are quiet so you probably won't see or hear much of us except maybe tinkering around in the garden from time to time. The apartment is completely private and secure with your own entrance and parking area on one side of the house.
There is a public bus that runs every hour with a stop close by. To enjoy all that Maui has to offer we recommend that you rent a car.
Please note that if booking for more than 2 people there is a $15 charge for each extra guest. Children and babies are also considered extra guests.

Staying at Jarad's place was wonderful. Pukalani is centrally located on the island so it was the perfect landing spot for exploring. Jarad was very kind and the place was very clean. We had fresh towels, soap, bedding, etc... My girlfriend and I were happy to see they had a blender; it allowed us to save a ton of money on drinks because we would make our own (we just stopped at Costco--15 min away--and grabbed mixes for the week). It was also nice to be able to watch Netflix in the evening, after dinner. I highly recommend staying here.
Only thing to note: If you are a light sleeper, there is a rooster next door that wakes up around 5am. With the window closed I'd sleep right through his cock-a-doodle-dooing, but when we slept with the window open the rooster woke me up. Maybe bring ear plugs.
Quiet, private, clean place. Easy access from airport. Decently equipped )lacks laundry facilities). Very handy for driving to Haleakala crater, Paia, road to Hana, Kulu botanical gardens. Get groc before you leave Kahului.
Good location is you are going to see all parts of the island as it is centrally located.
I had a pleasant short stay in this zen-like spacious, quiet suite. Jarad is a lovely host and left thoughtful instructions and directions for guests. No cable for the tv - just Netflix, otherwise a well equipped kitchen to make smoothies or a simple meal. This is a great location to explore the volcano or head up Hana way. Definitely good for a long stay.
The apartment has much space and we can talk to Jarad at any times if we need something. Upcountry was a very good place to relax and start some tours like the sunrise on the Haleakala. We also enjoyed the Boogie-Board and snorkel equipment and some chairs for the beach. If we come to Maui again we would book it again!
Spacious, quiet (except for the roosters!) centrally located if you want to explore the entire island, convenient to stores and supplies - not much to complain about with this place. It's a plain house in a plain suburban neighborhood, not some cozy cottage tucked away in the woods, so you wouldn't choose it for its romantic appeal. But as a base of operations equidistant to the top of Haleakala and the beaches of Kihei, it's a practical and sensible choice. We'd stay there again, no problem.
My wife and I stayed for a week at Jared's place and everything was perfect! The space was well maintained, clean, and conveniently located near the start of the road the Hana, Haleakala, and up-county Maui. Any beaches were just a short drive away (the beach chairs and boogie board that we could use were a nice touch!). If you're on the edge about using Airbnb, don't be! This was our first time using it and we couldn't be happier!
The apartment was very spacious with its own entry and a fully equipped kitchen (there was even a coffee machine and a blender!). Having a flatscreen TV with Netflix was a nice touch for lazy evenings and we were able to make use of the new grill as well, which was fun. The place even comes with a boogie board, mask and snorkel and beach chairs for beach outings. We enjoyed the area - very residential and low key while close to some nice beaches typically only frequented by locals. Jarad and Chelsea kept to themselves, but Jarad did come help us out with the grill wihen we asked and brought us beach towels as well. All in all, highly recommended!
Nice upcountry location, comfortable.
We had a very good experience! The place was very clean and well located to explore Maui. Jarad gave us very usfull tips about Maui and he answered very quickly to our demands.
