Interaction with Guests
As much or as little as preferred by the guests
Church Hill Heights is a fairly new neighborhood on the east side of Madison. Its convenient location is easy to find, close to shopping, seven miles south of the capitol, and nine miles to the University of Wisconsin.
If you have a vehicle, park in our private driveway or in the garage. If you are interested in public transportation, the closest bus stop is a short walk to the corner of Hayes and Portage Roads. Our city is known for it's friendliness to bikers and provides many biking paths for those who prefer to conserve gas and the environment. Finally, there are several cab companies available or if you are used to Uber rides, well we have those to!
Other Things to Note
Madison is Wisconsin's capitol city. It is a nice place to live, work and attend school. It offers many annual events that caters to people from all walks of life. I moved to Madison to attend college at the University, 46 years later I'm still here enjoying everything Madison has to offer!

HAVE FUN AND RELAX
It was the second time we stayed with Fred. We absolutely loved it. Fred's place really stands out. The best experience. We are indeed very grateful for Fred having us. Thank you Fred for everything! And especially for the tomatoes from backyard. Would very much love to come back in future.
Fred made me and my family feel right at home right from the start! He was waiting at the house when we arrived from the airport (which is conveniently only about 10 mins away (although we never heard any airplane noise during our stay!).
The house was immaculately clean, spacious, very comfortable, and full of nice touches such as a Keurig machine, and very comfortable mattresses.
Neighborhood is great too - very quiet, yet convenient to East Towne and north Madison areas.
We stayed here for a week visiting family in the area and really enjoyed having a place where we could have a "home base". We would love to stay here again on our next trip to Madison!
Clean, spacious accommodations. Great back yard. Host met us and was extremely welcoming and helpful.
Another great stay at Fred's. Thanks for hosting us. We'll be back soon!
Fred made us feel very welcome from the beginning, with a nice handshake, a tour of the place, a fruit basket and cool water. The house was so clean and comfortable, the yard was beautiful, and the place was very quiet. We had a lovely stay.
Jill met me at the house and showed me around pointing out where everything was kept. She was very friendly. Fred had left me a fresh basket of fruit, bottled water and there were other condiments and spices to use. Anytime I had a question during my trip, I sent Fred a message and he got back to me right away.
This was the perfect house and location for me as my daughters live just outside of Madison in Leeds and my siblings live in Milwaukee. So it was a great place to host my guests and for me to travel to visit them.
The weather was beautiful and we spent a lot of time on the back porch visiting as well as grilling out. The house is spacious, clean and in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. There is also a playground park a block away. Perfect for young children.
I normally stay with family members when I travel back to the Midwest from California, but this was so much better: having my own space and place. I highly recommend staying at Fred's house.
A very nice place that was perfect for our group of four. Fred had to go out of town so we only met him as we were leaving. He was personable and welcoming. If we make this trip again, this would be at the top of our list of places to stay.
About the Host, Fred
I am a retired police officer. I currently work part time providing transportation with a local taxi cab company and I also work as a security guard. My partner, Jill and I, enjoy exercising and riding bikes. When I turned 50 years old, I rode my bike (as in bicycle) from the west coast to the east coast three thousand seven hundred and fifty miles in fifty days. We are crazy about football and love going to the games. We also love to connect with our adult children and our five grandsons. Jill's first grand daughter was born this year on January 3rd. Socializing is an important aspect of our lives as it brings about meaningful relationships. We are excited and find it natural to be hosts to others who visit our wonderful city. We will do our best to accommodate our guests and to make them feel welcome. We would like to someday go to Europe. We also love good food, good wine, and live music, but we can't leave out beer and cheese, after all we are Wisconsinites!
