Fatima and Said were so wonderful. They gave detailed instruction to the building, and emailed us some useful information beforehand. Upon arrival we were given tea and cookies, and Fatima had to leave, but Said was if anything, over accommodating, so hospitable. So generous and helpful and worried about us in a way that a parent might be. The room was beautiful with its own little terrace, but we had access to the main terrace which had a stunning view of the city, and later on, the gorgeous sunset. It was fantastic. The bathroom was clean, everything was clean, the hot water takes a sec but it's hot! There's a handy supermarket in the building, and an atm. It's easy to catch a cab and you can go anywhere. Within a very close walk is Mai Tai, a swanky, delicious new restaurant. Make a reservation. Oh, and she made us delicious breakfast. Also, stay with them, best ever intro to Morocco. Thank you so much, we'll be back someday!
Fatima and Saiid have a wonderful apartment. When you enter there are security guards at the door so the building is very safe and I think this is essential in Casablanca. After a very long trip from Fez, it was great to receive such a warm welcome into their home. My friend and I were greeted with the best cookies and tea. The room was spacious with a balcony. The entire place was very beautiful and clean. The balcony facing the city from the living room had a great view of the city and the ocean. We were lucky enough to meet their son who was also very friendly and showed us a great restaurant in Casablanca. Saiid has great knowledge on how to get to a certain location and offers useful maps and information. The location is ideal it is about ten minutes away from the mosque by cab, a short ride to the beach as well. We were sad that we didn't spend more time in Casablanca but we definitely were grateful we stayed with Fatima and Saiid, breakfast was amazing. We had crepes, toast, eggs, tea, and coffee. I would highly recommend staying with Saiid and Fatima, they made us feel like family. I have great respect for their family and Moroccan culture.
Spent one night with Fatima and her lovely family in Feb 2014. Beautiful apartment, close to the Grand Mosquee Hassan II and the Corniche. A short taxi ride from the medina. They were all very helpful and spoke both English and French very well. Ask ahead for the exact address and it will be easy to find. Would definitely come again!
We spent a night in Fatima's and Said place, it was nice. A little bit far from the center, however you can get cabs that will take you there for less than a dollar/euro. Breakfast was good, and Said took the time to share with us several recommendations as well as a map that served us quite well! Thanks a lot!
Fatima and Said are excellent hosts and we were so happy to stay with them in a real Moroccon household and to learn something about their life.
Said explained how to get to the sights in Casablanca and also helped us with organising our trip to Essaouira. Fatima made very nice Moroccon breakfast in the morning.
The apartment is very easy to find and in a good and quiet neigbourhood.
Thank you, Fatima and Said!!!
Nice hosts with lots of travel-tips. Nice & clean room with good views of Casablanca.
It was the first night of our trip and we could not imagine any place better than Fatima's and Saïd's beautiful home. Two very kind people who would do anything to make you feel comfortable and welcome to morocco! Merci beaucoup Fatima pour le petit déjeuner et votre gentillesse. And a big compliment on Saïd's language skills! very impressive.
We wish you all the best
Alejandro & Laura
Fatima and Said were perfect hosts, they were very welcoming and helpful, provided us usefull information and good maps of Casablanca and Morocco. Their home is very nice and clean and has a huge terrace with a superb view to the city. Also the double room has an own balcony. Fatime gave us an amazing breakfast every day.
The house is located in a very good neighborhood, you can earn the main sites and the ocean with a convinient walk or with a few minutes long taxi ride. There is a big supermarket in the building, a good daily food market and all kind of streetfood just around the corner.
Thank you again, see you next time!
We were welcomed with open arms, tea and delicious cakes by Fatima and Said (even though we were later than expected and Fatima was fighting an ear infection).
Their enormous unit in located on the top floor (#7) of a secure, modern block on the outskirts of Casablanca CBD and is within walking distance of the Hassan II Mosque and The Corniche area.
They were very keen to hear about us and shared their their lives/family stories. Then Said gave us maps, brochures, tips and suggestions for us to use the following day.
Breakfast was served at a time to suit us and included the delicious breads (rghaif) we have come to enjoy (and which invoke the taste of Morocco to us).
