A warm welcome awaits you should you choose my comfortable double room in my pleasant semi-detached house situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with free on-road parking. Close to Talbot Heath and Coy Pond. Equidistant from Poole and Bournemouth Town Centres, about 2 miles from fabulous Bournemouth beaches and a short trip to Studland Bay or Sandbanks. Within easy reach of Bournemouth University (pleasant 15 minute walk across the heath) and The Bournemouth International Centre.
If you like walking, the upper gardens start at Coy Pond, about a ten minute walk away and you can walk or cycle through the gardens to Bournemouth Town Centre.
Buses into Poole and Bournemouth run regularly throughout the week and until quite late at night if you want to enjoy the thriving night life or eat out without worrying about driving back. Branksome is the nearest railway station, about a 30 minute walk or easy bus ride away.
Children friendly: I can put an airbed or travel cot in your room if you need one and have a booster/high chair for very young guests. Please be sure you specify the correct number of guests... children count!
For breakfast you can choose from a selection of cereals and toast, with tea or coffee.
We have two young, very friendly Schnauzer dogs, very used to small children.. Please do not feed them sweets or biscuits, especially from the dining table. Thank you - enjoy your stay with us :).
If you need to: There is a microwave oven in the kitchen you may use to heat lunch or evening meals. You may make yourself tea and coffee when you wish. Please eat in the dining room rather than the bedroom.

Let's 'play it by ear'... it's always lovely to chat though sometimes other things get in the way! I'm always happy to help you with your questions and queries... this is such a wonderful area... you'll undoubtedly want to max out your enjoyment of it!
This is generally a lovely peaceful neighbourhood, with easy access to local amenities, parks and heathland.
We have it all here... quaint villages, forests, beautiful beaches, an amazing assortment of eating places, the fabulous Poole Harbour - a MUST see - all within easy access.
Buses run into Poole and Bournemouth approximately every 20 minutes. Bournemouth airport is approximately six miles away.
There is ample free parking adjacent to my property.
Apart from being strictly non-smoking, I don't think I have too many house rules! All I ask is that you're considerate of others and enjoy your stay. However, I do work from home so when I have clients, we may need to co-ordinate your arrival and departure times accordingly. Please liaise with me over this.
Please do not feed my dogs sweets or biscuits, nothing ever from the dining table. If it is wet outside, please remove your shoes in the entrance lobby. Thank you!
Having not used Air B&B previously I wasn't too sure what to expect. However, Yvonne rapidly made me feel very welcome in her home. The room was great, clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. Yvonne went out of her way to acommodate me and I had a lovely evening chatting with her after a long day on a course.
Yvonne prides herself on keeping a clean tidy home, comfortable double with enough room for an airbed for our son, 2 adorable schnauser /patterdale dogs & good WiFi - take your laptop if you like to keep up with your soaps, all in an area we know and enjoy.
Ivonne is a kind women, she's is helpfull within her reach.
The House is ok, the room could do without the host stuff in, and it is a bit too expensive for what it offers. You can only use the living room when the host is not there, and If you dont eat bread for breakfast, it is going to be an incovinience. Sometimes i felt unwelcomed for i was let outside the house in two occations, a full set of lets would be great for future guests.
It was a different experience.
May, didn't we share time together in my home each time it was convenient to us both? We chatted in the kitchen, in the dining room and in the lounge. Of course when I have clients, guests are respectfully requesstd to stay quietly in their room - this is clearly communicated on the site. All my guests are very welcome to share my home, you have only to read other reviews to see and understand that. With regard to being locked out, you've omitted to say that it was because you hadn't told me you were staying out over night, and I'd left keys for you on the inside, thinking that you were still sleeping. You admitted to not reading the text message I'd sent you. I'm sorry you're still angry about this.
Staying with someone in their home is of course a different experience; it isn't the same as staying in a hotel. I regret that I couldn't meet all your expectations , that helping you personally with so many things (your laundry, lifts, etc) wasn't enough.
I sincerely hope that you find what you are looking for in life and wish you every success in building a career with your new skills.
We had a lovely stay with Yvonne and her two lovely little dogs (who were very well behaved and affectionate).
The room which Yvonne rents is very homely with a comfy bed and has everything you need. We were travelling with our son and an extra bed was provided as well as a Lego book spied on the bookshelves!
The bathroom was directly next to the guest room and Yvonne was very considerate of our schedule.
Yvonne is an excellent host, she went above and beyond to accommodate our needs as my partner was running the marathon and we needed flexibility with check out times and use of the facilities for washing up before our drive home.
Thanks again Yvonne!
Yvonne is a lovely, welcoming host, and the room and house comfortable and attractive. And her two dogs are adorable! From now on this is going to be my home away from home whenever I'm in that area. Thanks, Yvonne, for a kind welcome, a comfortable night's rest, and some wonderful conversation over breakfast!
Yvonne is a great host, kind, nice and welcoming. The room was very clean and ready to receive a Prince, I felt at home. All details taken care of, there was a towel for me (really appreciated) and a welcome pack with maps and many useful things. Her two dogs are very friendly and fun. I would recommend it no doubt!
We had a short but wonderful time at Yvonne's house. She and her two dogs were very welcoming. Unfortunately we arrived late from the ferry and had to leave the next morning. But Yvonne made our stay as comfortable as possible. She had the local knowledge we needed and was very interesting to talk to. We would like to stay longer next time.
I was born a 'people person' loving to chat with people from the age of three apparently! I haven't changed much, just the numbers increase with years. I enjoy good food and good company. My hobbies include sailing (cruising not racing), walking my two Schnauzers, and lots of family activities. I am an assistant Brownie leader, I enjoy a bit of tour guiding at Corfe Castle when time permits and work as a Life Coach/Personal Development Trainer.
My modest home is a haven, a place for living and working - I see most of my coaching clients here. I have a small south facing back garden and love to catch the sun, taking my breakfast, lunch and dinner on the patio when the weather permits.
