Hello Rosalie! Thank you for your honest feedback and am sorry that you felt so negative about so many different things while staying at my place! Moreover, I wanted to take an opportunity and provide some kind of a response as to address these items. I must admit that since I have started using air b&b, majority of my guests' feedbacks very mostly positive with some little suggestions here and there. Unfortunately, from all the reservations I have had so far since last year, I haven't had any negative feedbacks in regards to the bed or the mattress itself. Also, from talking to people, it seems that people, especially with aching back, prefer a sturdy mattress instead. Should I have more of my future guests feel the same as you do, I do not have a problem to add a mattress topper. As for light switches, I will regard this as your personal observation rather than a big issue. Again, I did not have any other of my guests commenting on this at all and/or as being a problem! I think that any place one might stay for the 1st time might require a little bit of one's orientation at first. As for the fridge, yes, unfortunately, the fridge is a part of the room (adjoining kitchenette) and cannot do much about the noise. On the other hand, it seems that many guests appreciate the fact that the fridge is in the room and don't have to eat out as much, especially for people traveling for a business or seminars. Also, I myself and many of my guests found my place being a quiet and a clean place to stay at! As for the pricing, I have myself researched the air b&b website reviewing similar listings to mine with a private entrance, their offered amenities, cleaning fees etc. I have found out that $35.00 is a standard fee charge and can be sometimes even more on stand alone units with a separate entrance providing more privacy. I have even seen other listings charging as much for places, where one has to share the kitchen and/or bath in 2/2 apartment. My neighborhood is considered a nice neighborhood with higher-priced properties since the location is closed to the canal and/even monthly rental prices are higher in comparison with other areas in Pompano Beach. Also, I periodically review some local listings in regards to off-season/high-season rental prices in certain cities and therefore feel that my price is compatible.
