A comfortable one room with 2 single beds, AC, in a quiet area of Newton close to Mass Pike. You also can be in Boston within minutes either from the train, bus or car. Just a few blocks from the house you can take the public transportation to Boston.
Public transportation to key parts of the city is actually typically faster from here than in many other areas of Boston that are connected to the "mbta" the Boston area public transportation. (Locally it is called the "T")
A 15 minute walk from my house to Newtonville square you will find the 59 bus that comes from Watertown square to Needham and it runs though Newtonville. It will take you to "Newton Highlands", where you can catch the "Green Line" train (The "D" line). This train goes though Brookline and stop at Government Center, downtown Boston.
At Newtonville square you will find the commuter train to Boston, another fast connection to downtown Boston and South Station, were you can make connections to other trains, the Bus station, Red line subway and the Silver line bus that take you to the Logan Airport.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The room and the whole place was so clean, neat, and welcoming. James makes sure that you have everything you need and he explains well all you need to know about the place.
The entrance is private, and we didn't even get to meet James this time, but if we go again to Boston, we would definitely stay here again.
The area is quiet and beautiful and there is a nearby commuter train taking you to the city.
A five star recommendation for everything!
James is an excellent and attentive host. Everything was as he described in his profile. The location was terrific and the room was very comfortable. I highly recommend James.
Very good, clean and spacious enough room. Good neighborhood.
Very friendly although we never met.
I've stared here before, but didn't get a chance to meet James then. This time I met James, and he's great! Very friendly, very accommodating. This time I got the room with the king-sized bed which is very comfy and spacious. Will definitely stay here again.
James was a lovely and kind host. He was readily available for contact and directions from and to his place (the house is fairly close to commuter rail stop and a few bus lines). The house is in a great neighborhood (I went to Boston College in Chestnut Hill/Newton area and it's a very beautiful and safe place) and I had no issues coming back late at night. James met me when I first checked in and showed me around the apartment; there are many amenities available for use (towels, bathing amenities, coffee/tea, wifi, washing and dryer machines are available). I had initially booked the place because the room looked like it had a very clean and comfortable feel - and it was indeed! There are two single beds in the room and I had no trouble falling asleep each night. There is a bathroom, living room, and kitchen space that is shared with the guest staying in the other room and James had let me know ahead of time that there was another guest. All in all, a wonderful stay and wonderful hosts! I say hosts, because I also had the chance to meet and briefly speak to James' father, also named James, and who has many interesting stories to share.
James' apartment was very clean. James himself is a great guy. Wifi instructions were good; the fridge was even filled. We were happy with the washer & dryer too. The apartment is spacious and light. We will certainly come back here
My first AirBnB experience and it was perfect: room and apartment were impeccable, full featured kitchen, pretty living room, parking was very easy. I did not have the fortune of meeting James during my stay, but I will be back.
It was a pleasant stay ! perfect home, it feels like home! James is an amazing host and very helpful and extremely nice, and mimi as well! i would definitely go back to stay in again. thank you so much for everything.
