10 km from Hella, in the middle of nowhere, near horse farms, there is only one-room small homestay cabin (12 m2) next to a villa where the owner lives. The cabin has a 160x200 cm double bed, a toilet, a sink, and a kitchenette. Shower in the villa building, shared with the residents of the villa. The area is free of public lighting, excellent for northern lights hunting from the end of August to the end of April.

The space
The cabin has an unheated front porch, terrace. In the kitchenette, there is a microwave oven, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, and biscuits. You can warm up any instant food and make a hot drink, but you can't cook a meal.
Towels, bathrobes, basic toiletries, and a hairdryer are provided. You can find a QR code of the house rules in the cabin. Please read it.
The cabin is not suitable for infants and young children!

Guest access
If you drive on route nr 1 and see this sign (Ásamýri, Þjodolfshagi, Álfasteinn), just turn onto the unpaved road. Follow the road and turn right when it's possible. Follow this road almost to the end and find this gate (Álfahóll and Puffin Factory Sign) on the left side. Open the gate and park next to the car, and close the gate.
If you use Google Maps for navigation, our cabin is on Google Maps under the name of Alfaholl Villa Cabin.

Other things to note
This accommodation is in the middle of nowhere. There is no shop, pub, or restaurant in the neighbourhood. It is ideal who want to leave civilisation, who want to find peace, nature and silence. This is the gate of Highland.
The area is hilly, inhabited by elves, hence the name of the property: Álfahóll. There is a playground in the yard, a garden around the house, with two live aurora webcams. Feel free to look around the garden, where we have placed elf decorations, use the playground and the garden for northern lights photography. For the peace of the couple and the cat living in the villa building, please treat the environment with respect.
