The property Skolan is the village's old school that we have acquired and are now rebuilding into a cozy and inspiring accommodation. Råstrand is located by the beautiful Vindelälven river, which is one of the four national rivers. The school is versatile with its three floors and about 600 sqm. We can have about 50 seated guests in the dining room, and the large kitchen has all the equipment you need. We have a simpler gym for the active and a sauna you can rent for an extra fee. We also provide a washing machine for a fee.

The space
The old school is surrounded by wild nature in a small village at the beginning of the Arctic region from Sweden. It is located near the Vindelälven river, a very famous place for fishing, wild and full of life. The old school has three floors and is easy to reach from the E45; if you go north or drive south and like to rest in relaxing nature, then this is the place to visit and experience. Inside the building, you will discover history and a fresh breeze from the forest. In the next village (about 11 kilometers away) you will find a grocery store and if you like to be outdoors, we have a lot to discover. Endless opportunities to walk, cycle, swim in fresh clean water, fish, make fires, even sleep as long as you like, discover magical new places, collect wild berries | mushrooms | herbs | .., or just relax and let go. Whatever your inner self longs for, we can help you get it here.

The school consists of 3 floors where most spaces are open for you to use. We have a laundry room where you can rent the washing machine for SEK 50 and a simpler gym in the basement that is free to use. If you feel like a sauna, you can rent our electric sauna. The spaces that are closed to you as a guest is a carpentry located on level 2 that is locked most for the liability issue and safety of our guests. On the 3rd floor of the large old gymnasium, we store a large amount of beds and decor for upcoming renovations so it is also a private space in the current situation.

Other things to note
Remember that bed linen and towels are not included in the low fee and that you have to bring your own or rent from us (SEK 100 per person). If you need to rent bed linens, you pay and receive a code to where the bed linens are stored.
The school is a rustic place and we have just started renovating, so many things look the way they were before. If you're interested in history, this is the perfect place for you to visit. The school is a place of peace and warmth.

Gustav and Julia live in Råstrand from the beginning of December to the end of April with their two children, Gabriel and Alexandra. During the other months, they live on a sailboat near Gothenburg. Joy lives in the old school most of the time and welcomes guests from the beginning of May to the end of November.
