About this listing
Beautiful and bright studio located on a unique ¾ acre property near the U of A. This tiny (220 square feet) and charming cottage was originally the water-pump house (in the 1940’s). Concrete floors, brick walls, shade trees and yard art add to the charm of this quiet get away. The cottage has a full bath, and a kitchen area consisting of a fridge, microwave and hotplate and is set up to allow you plenty of privacy. The pool is right outside the door! Easy access to Tucson’s entertainment district – Main Gate Square, 4th Avenue, Downtown – and walking distance to restaurants and parks. Parking is off-street and is very secure.
Rates are seasonal:
Summer (June, July, Aug): $40/night-$250/week-$800/month
Spring/Fall (April, May & Sept, Oct): $45/night-$300/week-$1000/month
Winter (Nov. - March): $50/night-$325/week-$1100/month
Do you need additional space for friends or family? "Charming U of A Area Guesthouse" is on the same property. :)
This cottage is located on a property where we live with our family. We have it set up so that you can take care of yourself and enjoy your privacy and so that we can do our day-to-day living without much interruption. If you plan to have lots of visitors or if you want a host who will entertain you, this is probably not the right fit. House rules are to respect that this is our home (no smoking, no excessive noise). An energy-conservation attitude is also very much appreciated! Thank you!
I really enjoyed my stay in the cottage. Although I never met Jeannette in person, she was always helpful and accommodating, even when I had to change my plans a couple of times. The cottage is small but it had everything I needed and was perfect for my budget. I would definitely recommend Jeannette and Paul as hosts!
Our stay at the "Charming U of A Area Cottage" was spectacular. It is a great location and has adorable charm and style. Jeanette had everything set up for us and we even had access to parking behind the fence at night. The pool was a huge plus too! Would stay here again in a flash.
This was a great place to stay! Very quite and I felt very safe. The only thing I would have done differently was to book Jeannette and Pauls guesthouse instead. If you are staying for a few days, the cottage is perfect and at a great price! It has everything you need for a short trip. I stayed for about 3 1/2 weeks and the cottage was a little too small for that. My parents stayed in their guesthouse for a weekend and it would have been perfect! But that being said, the cottage was a lovely place and a great price for my tight budget! I have nothing bad to say. I would love to book with them again if I was ever in the Tucson area. Thanks so much!
This was one of my best airbnb experiences! The cottage was lovely- exactly as it looks in the pictures, very clean and comfortable!Great location in a safe neighbourhood, very close to the UofA and UMC!Close to restaurants and shops and anywhere you would want to be :) Paul and Jeanette are very kind, friendly and easy going people, they made me feel at home! They were very easy to contact if I ever needed anything :) Highly recommend this accommodation!
This was a wonderful and peaceful place. The hosts were responsive and the space was well represented in the photos. It was a cozy peaceful place that felt extremely private. I loved the private space at the front door. It was wonderful to sit and relax.
I absolutely Loved staying here. It was serene, comfortable, private, and with an amazing swimming pool. What an incredible spot, quite accessible to good things in Tucson and the University campus! I would highly recommend this little cottage as a getaway, and the larger rooms if you want to stretch out more. This was perfect for my time at a conference in Tucson.
