House - Entire home/apt · East Lester Street, Tucson, AZ 85716, United States

The Space

Beautiful and bright studio located on a unique ¾ acre property near the U of A. This tiny (220 square feet) and charming cottage was originally the water-pump house (in the 1940’s). Concrete floors, brick walls, shade trees and yard art add to the charm of this quiet get away. The cottage has a full bath, and a kitchen area consisting of a fridge, microwave and hotplate and is set up to allow you plenty of privacy. The pool is right outside the door! Easy access to Tucson’s entertainment district – Main Gate Square, 4th Avenue, Downtown – and walking distance to restaurants and parks. Parking is off-street and is very secure.

Check In
  • Great little private spot within walking distance to a few good restaurants (Kingfisher, Dante's Fire ). Private, secluded and quiet, it added to my working vacation. Perfect for anyone who can " work unsupervised."
    Thanks, Jeannette.

  • I have been fortunate enough to stay in Jeanette's casita twice now! It is my first choice when I come to Tucson, a perfect little sanctuary for relaxing or working. The location is perfect - I ended up having to split my time while in Tucson because the casita was booked the latter part of my stay so I moved on to The Westward Look. I stayed at Jeanette's three days, and the hotel six -additional days. It cost me twice as much at the hotel, and it was not half as nice. Thanks again Jeanette for a wonderful stay. Missed you this time, hope I see you next time! Cindy

  • The cottage was clean, cozy and the bed was quite comfy.. It was wonderful to have access to both cable and wi-fi. Public transportation is just around the corner If you are riding the bus be sure to get a schedule ahead of time because neither the number of the bus or the schedule is listed at the stop. Later in my trip I rented a car and was able to take advantage of the off street parking.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to meet Jeanette, but she quickly responded quickly to any question I had. The cottage was a calm oasis from the hectic of the Tucson Gem and Mineral shows.

  • Went to Tucson to escape the snow and get some miles in on my bike. I could not have asked for a better place to rent - it was perfect. Cozy, clean and very well kept.

    Would highly recommend!

  • Jeanette's cottage is cozy, spotless, light and peaceful. It's a small space but doesn't feel like it. The bed is comfortable and the little kitchenette is handy. I'd love to stay here again.

  • This is a lovely little sanctuary tucked away in the heart of Tucson only a couple of blocks away from The Arizona Inn - one of Tucson's most treasured historical landmarks. This is an adorable little casita, clean and private and comfortable. It is not large, but has everything you need and if it seems to good to be true, in this case... It Isn't. Come stay here, you will love it! Thank you Jeanette! Your hospitality is unmatched! I'll be back! Cindy

  • I highly recommend the charming cottage of Jeanette Mare and family. Light and airy, facing a beautiful pool, all the amenities one needs to stay in cozy and peaceful or set out for adventure within driving minutes of all things cool in Tucson! Quality linens, coffee and teas were waiting for me with good reads on the shelf and plenty of movie channels on the satellite. Jeannette knew many farm to table eating establishments, great places to hike and swim and sent me to an amazing sunset. Gated and safe, the eclectic mix of décor and creative artistry on the property had a wonderful vibe and floating in the pool in the afternoons looking up at deep blue sky was a highlight! There is a precious reason to get to know Jeanette's occupation and her tireless devotion to a kinder world. I hope to return one day.

  • Awesome casita! Jeannette is a great host, couldn't ask for more.... I heard reviews about dogs being a problem b but that was not the case. I truly enjoyed my stay and the hospitality. The casita had everything I needed, would definitely return if in the area.
