This apartment was well located although needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Be mindful if you are very tall the shower height is small
Our 4 night stay in Rome was awesome! The studio is small, but very clean, comfy and you'll find everthing what you need. I would just recommend to bring a pair of thick socks with you, 'cause the floor on the ground tend to be cold. The area is very nice too - all these small shops (especially the hilarious shop next to the appartment ;) ) give you an experience of Rome besides all the tourist-places. I would definetely recommend this studio! :)
Everything was perfect. Michele is a very nice and helpfull host, providing us with all the information we needed. The Apartment is well located in a very nice neighbourhood in Rome and everything is within walking distance. The flat is clean and the bed is big and comfy. We will definetely come back.
Przemily gospodarz. Polecam goraco!
We had a very good time in Rome using the studio of Michelle for nine days. We feel very welcome and everything in the studio was good! In addition to other recensions: we recommend the bakery at the other side of the street (bread, but also good pizza and very nice people!). We almost walk everywhere, but also the metro is near: it was a very good place to be!
(Only the douchecabine: when your lenght is not like Italian people .... but we have managed it :-))
We spent a whole week at Michele's Testaccio apartment, and we had a great time. The location was amazing, we didn't use public transportation once, it's easy to walk everywhere. We loved the authentic vibe in the neighbourhood. Michele left a map in the apartment of the area, restaurants and shops and recommendations which was really nice. Everything practical went very smoothly. We had great pastries from Cafe Barberini, pizza from oo100 and a great dinner at Flavio al valavevodetto, and we visited the beautiful non-catholic cemetery for foreigners, all within 5 minutes walking.
The bed was nice and soft, it was overall clean (though it really needs to be vacuumed under the bed) and Michele was a good host. Although, you really get the sense that noone lives here on a regular basis. There are no knives to cook with in the kitchen (kind of a big deal if you're staying for more than two days), the shower is the smallest i have ever seen.
The internet was abysmal and caused us problems because we had to spend ages in the apartment. It was not WIFI, but a 3G internet connection. Since we were staying for a week, we needed to get work done. Something that would normally take 20 minutes would take 2 hours, it was frustrating having something so silly eat so much of our time in Rome. Using 3G on my phone was a lot quicker, so I could use that for certain things. So if you need internet, even just for checking your email, this internet will be frustrating. Especially since the internet was one of the reasons I booked the apartment in the first place. Next time I book through airbnb, I'll make sure there is proper WIFI. I did air my frustration about this to Michele who offered to help with another 3G solution, but I declined since I didn't think it would help at all.
We would definitely stay in this area again, but most likely in an apartment with knives to cook and a proper internet connection.
We stayed 3 days in the apartment of Michele and it was a wonderful experience!! We really enjoyed our journey in this nice apartment, perfect for a short stay. The kitchen is funny and well equiped (but no microwave) and there is a very lovely mezzanine.
The apartment is in a residential area not far from center: 15 min from coliseum by walk, 2min from bus and tram, 5min from metro pyramide and 10min from train station Roma Ostiense.
so a great localisation!! Just a remark, as you are on the ground, sometimes you can hear some noise from the road.
Michele was very nice with us. We arrived late in the evening and Michele was there to welcome us with good advise. We leave in the evening and there was no problem to check out.
To conclude, I really recommend you this apartment.
Great studio in an even better neighbourhood! Very clean and close to the heart of Rome ( only 5/10 by bus). Metro Piramide is also in walking distance.
We didn't have the pleasure to meet Michele but he was very kind to help us with everything we needed.
Testaccio is fantastic. With very nice places to eat. If you like to wine and dine with the locals you are in the right neighbourhood.
Maybe one negative thing about the studio : it has a small shower.
Next time i visit Rome i would definitely stay here again.
