Welcome to Daehan Artvillage.
Our building is comprised of five houses and are whole big family.
The place, the room, the everything is honestly very wonderful. Our ten days there was very comfortable as Haedong's uncle (who we stayed with) welcomed us warmly and it was like we lived there for years.
The room, was like how it was describe in the advertisement. It was roomy and very comfortable. The internet connection was indeed fast and the TV had lots of channels so you won't get bored. The refrigerator was enough to store food for a month (if you're gonna stay that long). The neighbourhood was quiet, even if there was an elementary across the street. Even if you can here the children shouting, it wouldn't be loud enough to ruin someone's day.
On the night of our arrival, Haedong's uncle was already waiting for us at the (Achasan) station and walked us to the house so we wouldn't be lost. (Though I'm still very sorry that we took too long and we weren't able to tell them ahead of time that our flight got delayed, his uncle waited for almost 2 hours ): ) And when we arrived at the house, his uncle fed us ramyeon and kimchi (which was very fresh and very much different from the Kimchi that I've tasted here in the Philippines).
Uncle was very nice and always made sure to remind us of the weather during the day, lend us umbrellas and he was just very warm and welcoming.
Haedong, from the inquiries, reservation, arrival and stay, was very accommodating. He answered all our questions, and very quick at that, even if it was just to ask if the internet was fast or whatever. Although we met Haedong on our last day, just before we left to the airport. He asked us how our trip was and what were the places we went to...even had a tiny KPOP conversation :D He was nice and very much like how you talk to him on Airbnb (messages).
It's a very nice place to stay at and I definitely recommend this place to everyone who are going to Seoul.
This was such a lovely place to stay. It's Haedong's uncle's apartment, and he's a great host. Very jolly and accommodating. He doesn't speak a ton of English, but Haedong does and is easily reachable all the time. The neighbourhood is really pleasant, and easily reached from anywhere in Seoul on the subway. Very much recommended.
The room is exactly as it appears in Airbnb. Spacious, has high-speed internet, heated floors/mattress meant we were very comfortable despite the cold weather. I don't think you can get a better private room for this price anywhere in Seoul.
Location wise, it's quiet despite being right in front of an elementary school. There's also a convenience store nearby. It's about 5 minutes to Achasan train station, which in turn about 20 mins to half an hour away from the central city area, so take this into consideration when making your schedule. But Seoul's public transportation is cheap and comfortable so you won't lose much.
The place is also owned by his uncle, who we live with. His uncle went out of his way to make us feel welcome, while also giving us the privacy we needed.
Despite never being able to meet Haedong, the last thing I'd like to stress is just how *friendly* and *responsive* he is. Any time we have questions (and we had a lot!) he was there to give a quick comprehensive answer.
Over-all, this is a fantastic place, and will definitely recommend it to anyone going to Seoul.
It was a really nice to be. Haedong and his uncle helped me so much and answer all mails very fast. The uncle speaks very good english, too. I recommend the place to everyone. And the location is very near to the city center, so you can fastly take the subway at Achasan station (only 3 minutes walking time from Haedongs home). So Haedong get 5 stars. Hope to meet you soon here in Seoul during my study time.
I spent a wonderful time at Headong place and Seoul. I was there for 4 days during the Spring festival, Chinese new year, during which Headong and his family welcomed me very warmly.
Headong gave me also good advice about places to visit in the city. He was also nice to discuss with him about our experiences.
The room is very quiet and well furnished, the subway station 5min away allows to travel easily in the city.
So in one word as in many, it was an interesting and joyful experience I recommand to everyone!
