Mediterranean Slice is an awesome location - we were able to avoid a lot of the traffic by using the Silverado Trail which was just outside our front door. Yountville is a perfect location enabling us to easily access all the small towns in the Napa Valley. We started each morning on the deck with coffee overlooking the scenic views of Stags Leap. Deborah, the host was very helpful in suggesting places to go and wineries to see. Also, was quick to respond to our emails. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit!
The location of the house was perfectly located in/near downtown Yountville. Host was very responsive and very nice.
The house is nice but a little more dated than we anticipated. It was very hot the weekend we were there and the house did not have air conditioning so it was very uncomfortable to sleep. But they did have fans in the rooms.
The master suite bed was very, very firm. So if you don't like an extra firm mattress it might not be comfortable for you.
Aside from the beds and lack of air conditioning, I would definitely recommend the house. It was not "lavish" but was nice.
What an amazing trip! If only we could of stayed longer. The house was nice and clean and cannot imagine going to Napa and staying anywhere else.
We had a wonderful stay at this home outside of Yountville. First off, the location is excellent - very close to a number of wineries, and relatively central to the entire county. As others have noted, while the house is starting to show it's age a bit in some minor areas, the back patio/view and the master suite are true standouts (I recommend you take a jacuzzi bath then go sit out and enjoy the stars at night!). The roses in the back were in full bloom and were beautiful, though most of the landscaping could use a little tending. The home feels very private however, and you'll hardly know that there are other houses on either side. Additionally, even with the house being on the Silverado Trail we thought the road noise was negligible, and despite some relatively warm days, opening the windows and turning the fans on in the house kept it comfortable.
Finally, Deborah was very responsive during the booking/trip planning process and during our stay. We would definitely return!
