A Few Mountain Tips 🌲🐻

Our cabin is tucked in the mountains, so here are a few helpful things to know before you arrive:

** Please note the roads in our neighborhood are narrow and steep. Most vehicles have no issues but we want our guests to be aware that in snow, rain or icy conditions the roads may be difficult to navigate. Our driveway is steep and narrow but it is paved. It is worth it for the Mountain View! 🏔️ **

•Cell service can be spotty and unreliable at times. But our WiFi is excellent!

•Because the cabin is surrounded by nature, local wildlife and insects are part of the environment. We have regular pest control, and keeping doors closed and food indoors helps prevent any unwanted visitors.

•Weather in the mountains can be unpredictable. In the event of a storm or power outage, water and heat may be affected, and you’ll find flashlights in the kitchen drawer.

•Fall and winter are ladybug season! These little visitors are drawn to warm cabins all over the Smokies and may show up on windowsills or vents. The cabin is professionally cleaned and treated, but they can still make an appearance.

•The cabin comes with TV and Wi-Fi, so you can stream and stay connected. Sometimes the mountain weather or trees might cause a hiccup in the signal — all part of being in our peaceful, tucked-away spot! We do our best to keep everything running smoothly while you relax and enjoy your getaway.

** The gas fireplace will be turned off from March-October year round **
