The Space

Secure building with 24 hour concierge service in a very nice neighborhood and walking distance to most major Philadelphia attractions. Enjoy a pastry/bagel and orange juice on the balcony while taking in dramatic views of the rooftop decks and French architecture of the Fairmount Section of our beautiful city!

You'll have a private bedroom in my 2 bedroom / 1 bath apartment.

Includes: Wifi, A/C, fully equipped kitchen (including spices, oils, condiments and other basic cooking needs), 24 hour gym, balcony, 24 concierge, minimal cost laundry (on same floor), full bed (600 thread count sheets, hypoallergenic and temperpedic pillow available)

Everything you need is within a few blocks: beautiful park, 24 hour parking garage, pharmacy, grocery stores (incl Whole Foods & Trader Joe's), ATM, Starbucks, Wawa (convenience store) and of course tons of pubs and restaurants (including a pub in the building).

Transportation: Easily accessible to 4 different SEPTA (public transportation) bus lines, a short walk to Regional Rail System - Suburban Station and Philly Phlash ($5 on/off all day tourist bus). Cabs are always available with phone call to the concierge in the lobby. About 20 minute walk to 30th St Amtrak Station, Bolt and Megabus( less than $10.00 cab ride.) I will also offer my on-site garage parking spot for an additional $10.00 per day, if you need it.

I am located in Center City West (Logan Square neighborhood.) It is 2 blocks north of the Franklin Institute, Logan Square Fountain and the new Barnes Exhibit. I am 4 blocks from the Art Museum, and walking distance to City Hall and all Center City attractions. My apartment is also located 2 blocks south of the Historic Eastern State Penitentiary museum and many of the pubs and restaurants that the Fairmount neighborhood has to offer. I am also a short walk to The Central Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia, The Museum of Natural History, The Mutter Museum of the College of Physicians and The Rodin Museum and Moore College of Art and PAFA (PA Academy of Fine Arts.)

Downtown Philadelphia is a very walkable city. You can walk or bus to visit the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and Visitor Center in Olde City, less than 1.75 miles away. On your way back, you may stroll through Chinatown and check out the Chinese Gate at 10th and Arch Sts. Then stop by the Reading Terminal Market for delicious Amish fare and other great food. All north of Market Street.

From Olde City you may also want to walk South through Society Hill, Head House Square (original Market Place) and South St. Or head west on Walnut Street through Washington Square continuing on through the Gayborhood. If you continue on Walnut St you can cross Broad Street ( Avenue of the Arts District) and come into Rittenhouse (email hidden). When you get to 20th Street turn right(N) and you are less than 1 mile from my apt.

Philadelphia has an incredible amount of attractions, restaurants, and experiences to offer, and I look forward to sharing more ideas with you to ensure a wonderful stay in this city that I love!

  • Ed (email hidden) and his apartment was even better than in pictures with very nice bedroom with comfortable bed, and very convenient bathroom.

His apartment is in a very nice location near Rodin museum (email hidden). Bus stop is within 2 min walk, and it takes nearly 10 to 15 minutes to Wills Eye where I was doing my rotation. Buses are always on time, and the schedule is very convenient.

Ed is very kind and considerate person and he is always willing to help. When I was short in time, he took me to station by his car twice and he did everything to make my stay even more enjoyable.

I would definitely recommend Ed and his apartment for a stay. I am very happy that I got a chance to meet him and if I ever travel to Philly again I would stay at Ed's place.

I am semi-retired, friendly, open minded and LOVE Philadelphia. I look forward to giving people a renewed sense of brotherly love. I love chocolate and enjoy all types of dance. To date my favorite travel destination is Paris, France. My dream destinations are: Okinawa, Australia, Oberammergau and the Galapogos. As a host, I want my guests to feel at home and comfortable. As a guest I want to immerse myself in local culture. Bon Voyage and Welcome to Philadelphia. Ed
