Description

The space

This is My ACAPULCO Micro Beach Pad. I encourage you take the time and read ALL the details to this condo -- so you can make the BEST decision for yourself, and decide if this is the right place for you. Also, please be mindful that the insecurity in Acapulco, Mexico is real and it affects all our neighborhoods. Please! Please! Please! do not book this place if you are expecting a 5-STAR Hotel experience... at the price you are paying. Book a 5 STAR Hotel... for a 5 STAR experience. TV/Cable and Wifi will sometimes work given that we are in an area that is a new development. You come to the beach to enjoy the beach...

I bought this little condo while I was studying my graduate degree in Mexico City. I loved it because I'm a traveler. And, as a tourist to Mexico I get to really experience how "real" native Acapulco people live and it gets me out of my bubbled world of high society and comfort zones.

I use it on some weekends to go out and surf. It's decorated with my own California beach style. My maid lives right there at the complex and she takes care of this condo for me.

The micro condo is the tiniest little beach condo; it's "cute" for lack of a better word. I provide my guests with genuine hospitality and personal service. It is not a luxury hotel with grand rooms and formal service. It's cheap and affordable so you can spend your money doing other things. You will find this condo to be a tasteful little styled beach house, beautiful surroundings, and also a local taste of the "real" ACAPULCO while you're driving to the community. That means you'll pass a few bumpy dirt roads... off the beaten path.. and maybe see a cow or two...and see people on bikes or selling their juices on the street.

This is an "economically priced" condo in a decent middle class gated community in Mexico. Natives from Acapulco live in the community -- though most are weekend people. This is a "local" community feel and not urban upscale hotel life. This condo is not for the fancy at heart. If you don't mind interacting with the native Acapulco community, who are super friendly, then this condo provides that experience.

DISTANCE FROM BEACH:
Please note, the map on Airbnb did NOT allow me to pinpoint the exact location of the condo as it is situated in a NEW development, so its give or take 10 minutes from the Punta Diamante Beach area.

LOCATION:
This condo is located in the new development area known as Punta Diamante or Llano Largo and it is not near the Costera where all the bars and nightclub life rests. However, you can take a collectivo/otherwise known as "taxi cabs" to the Main Costera but it is a good 30 minutes away from where the condo is situated. I usually recommend a car if you rent the condo or get ready to walk 5 minutes to the grand entrance of the community to take "collectivos/taxi cabs" to get around.

To make your stay more enjoyable, I'm available to assist you, but I won't be there in person nagging you :)

When you stay here I want you to feel at home and enjoy the real Mexican neighborhood. Although my condo is situated within a gated community, I love that when you leave the community, you get the feel of the real local town here --- like fruit and juice stands at the corner, carpenters making their craft, etc. The community has a small park, too.

You can take a cab right outside the gates for $12 pesos or like a dollars worth.

In 5 minutes by taxi or car you're near the Walmart, Starbucks, Cinema, restaurants, beaches, Fairmont Hotel, and convenient transportation to all parts of the city.

Guest access

Pool access and everything else around the community.

Interaction with guests

Not much! Just by phone or via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN).

The neighborhood

It's located in a safe gated community. But please be mindful that the U.S. government has stated that Acapulco, Mexico, continues to be an insecure area for Americans.

Getting around

Yes. Taxis and/or collectivos are all around the area. There is parking. The airport is about 15-20 minutes away from the condo.

The place was just as described, really comfortable and close to a very nice beach. My puppy was pleased to walk around all the green areas near the condo and was happy to come back home to a wonderful A/C. Jess was always there since the beginning to let me know where to find everything and to offer his help. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Every detail in the house is amazing, you feel in vacation mode all the time. The house is in a very local area so you find a variety of places to buy food, and the pool is really nice and close. Is better to have a car since it is a long walk to get a taxi.

Nice cozy little place, fully functional and well decorated, worth the buck just MAKE SURE you get all the checking inn info before heading to the place, we had to wait outside the building complex 20 minutes (with two infants and 95 degrees at the shade it was not enjoyable at all) because neither the host or airbnb provided the condo number, apartment and all necessary info to grant us access, other than that it's a nice place, internet really slow but minor details when you stay outdoors most of the time.

This is the perfect Acapulco place! Loved the beach house vibe and having the pool a couple steps away. The fully stocked kitchen was a nice surprise especially being able to make coffee. We didn't have a car and while the place is not walking distance to the beach the extensive taxi system makes it super easy to get around. Taxi drivers are super friendly and gave us great trips on the best beach spot! Jess is an awesome host! Thanks for everything

Everything was excellent! In the beginning I thought the apt. was crossing the street since the map show it that way but no, you have to go inside a few minutes in car to reach the condo. The apt. was excellent! so clean, everything perfect! Jess is a great host as well ! He helped me in every step.
