  • Excellent stay.

    April 2014
  • Staying at the Donatello was great! The staff was friendly and helpful, offering maps of the city. It was clean and spacious. They even have a spa and jacuzzi.

  • Lovely apartment in convenient location near Union Square. Spacious and comfortable. Hotel amenities. Dana was great. Would stay here again.

    February 2014
  • Wonderful unit and great location...walking distance to the Moscone Center and many restaurants, shopping, etc. Dana was responsive and professional and I would definitely stay in the same unit the next time we go to San Francisco. Thanks so much for a quality experience!

    January 2014
  • Dana was fantastic in communication and the property is simply wonderful. It's truly the best place for the money in SF and we have tried a half dozen hotels there. Everything in the room appears updated. Huge in-wall t.v. which just got upgraded to HD, not the normal junky cable connection. As mentioned in the description it's more a time-share feel. so, in addition to the room having the feel of a luxurious hotel and way bigger than anything at the Hilton and Marriott for way less, it's quite cozy with a in room fridge and even some silver way, plates and glasses. You could also tell the patron's come back year after year as they knew the employees by name. Speaking of the employees. Everyone was friendly and so helpful. Room was quiet even on a busy time. The only thing is the lobby is pretty small so it can get a little backed up during checkin/checkout times. Just requires a little patience as this place is worth it!

  • Great experience at the Donatello! Very impressive.

    November 2013
  • Had a fantastic stay at the Donatello. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's basically a hotel with all the expected amenities (wifi, room service, concierge, etc). Clean place, courteous staff and convenient location. Will def book here again.

    November 2013
  • Dana was immediately responsive to my request. The place was great: clean, well-appointed, central, safe, good service. I would definitely stay again.

    November 2013
  • Dana was great. The place is very central, good location for union square and grabbing bart to other neighborhoods. I had the room with the terrace, and recommend it!

    October 2013
  • This is a great place in a great location and Dana was an amazingly wonderful hostess. I strongly, strongly recommend her and her place. Dana got back to me within minutes each time I contact her which was particularly helpful when I was trying to book for the very next day, and also when I was hoping to extend the stay by one day at the end (both of which she went way beyond the call of duty to arrange). The place is a hotel-like timeshare where you get assigned a room based on availability. We stayed in a 5th floor room with patio and even with our sliding glass doors open to the shared patio there was no significant street noise, despite what other reviewers have said. All of the rooms we peered in to were very nice. Very modern, contemporary furnishings, A large flat screen TV, sofa bed and king size bed and nice bathroom. Larger than any hotel room we've found in San Francisco. Service from front desk to bell staff to concierge very nice and helpful. There's an Italian restaurant (unaffiliated) on the mezzanine with nice piano or combo music most nights. 9th floor lounge with coffee and refreshments and fitness center are available to all guests. Location is fantastic at Post and Mason, right across from JW Marriott (and a huge savings compared to that), a couple blocks from theaters, a few blocks to Market street from which you can get anywhere, a few blocks up hill to Nob Hill, easy taxi access, 3 24-hour restaurants (2 of the Loris chains and a famous burger joint) within a block or two, and it's 2 short blocks to Union Square with all its shopping, the Starlight room, street performers, etc. Also on Union Square is Sears cafe which is famous for it's breakfasts (and great for lunch too). A great (expensive) steakhouse called Osso is 3 blocks up the hill and a block or two West. There's a reasonably priced (for San Francisco) garage next door if you have a rental car and there are Zip cars in that location, too. For clean, modern, comfortable accomodations at a great price in a very central downtown location, I don't see how you could do better. And, again, Dana is terrific. Our son is moving to San Francisco and we'll definitely stay here again when we visit him. Highly recommend. Thanks airbnb. And thanks again, Dana.

Sandy, the time you took to provide this review is very much appreciated. And it's always great when I can learn something from my own guest's review!

About
Married with three beautiful young daughters. At this point in my life, my only hobbies are whatever I am doing with my girls. Some may call it boring. I call it joy. I am a timeshare owner who loves to travel. Timeshares (resale, NEVER EVER direct from developer NO MATTER WHAT) have immeasurably enhanced my family's travel lifestyle.
