If you want a dirty beach on a remote location without facilities then this is perfect.

Response from Jean-Pierre:
I don't recommend Robin as a guest. No other guest complained about the beach. In fact, I think, he went on the wrong beach ! Our private beach is so wonderful... Read the other comments ! For the communication, I had to call him from France because he didn't use . For the location, it it is written in the description that the house is half an hour away from the town where you make the shopping. If you want a non paying and unpleasant guest, then this is perfect.

We stayed for one week in February 2016. We have three children ages 7 and 4 and they had a blast. The house has a wrap around porch and a nice size yard- and being far away from other houses meant the kids could run and be noisy without disturbing others. The views are stunning and there was a fantastic breeze in the evenings- it was cool enough for a light sweater or shirt. The house has two large bedrooms. Unfortunately, because the bedrooms are not connected internally, my husband and I had to split up and each sleep with some of the kids, since they are still little. But it was not a big deal- there is a bathroom in each bedroom which is nice. There is no hot water, which made bathing after the beach interesting. The main challenge we had in the bedrooms was the amount of mosquitos. We had a problem with one of the nets but the staff were great and changed the net for us and that solved the issue. So while you can sit comfortably outside because of the breeze- you will definitely need to use a net to sleep. The beach is very nice. Small waves were great for the kids. It is a bit of walk down a stony path to get there, but not so bad. It was not difficult. The path to get up to the house is steeper, but there are steps at the bottom. The main thing to know about the house is that it is very far from any sort of amenities, even a basic shop or food supplies. You will really need to come by car. Or, if you don't mind, you can organize with the housekeeper to go to the nearest town (30 minutes away) and go shopping and prepare food for you. The one thing you can get locally is fish. We also took a boat trip out on the bay which was very nice. But it is basically a plastic row boat with a motor. It was very beautiful and we got to swim around a sand bar in the middle of the bay. We were looking for a quiet, low key vacation on the beach and that was exactly what we had. We really enjoyed our stay there and were happy to not go anywhere else. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet get away- this is a great spot. Nice house and amazing views.

This is the home of an aesthete. It is both beautiful by itself and in its place. The views are truly spectacular. The home sits atop a peninsula with great breezes and a 260-degree view of the ocean. It is the epitome of old Caribbean charm – from a place and time that I had thought had passed. Not here, it is alive and well. There are two semi-private beaches and a public beach. I had a great time talking with the local farmers and fishermen and loosing at dominos. The staff could not be more kind or helpful. The cook can cook anything you want from local staples to island classics. It was all very good. There are problems with internet and power – but these should be expected, plan ahead. The property is well off the beaten path of tourism and is a perfect place to finish writing a book and explore the north part of Haiti. If I am lucky enough to be able to come back – I will.

Haïti is a fabulous country where natur is still untouched. Do'nt hesitate to spend some holidays there. You will never forget it !

Haïti est un pays magnifique, où la nature est encore intact, et où j'aime passer du temps à faire de la voile et voir mes amis.
Le reste du temps, j'habite en Bourgogne où je fais du cheval, écris des livres et m'occupe de ma maison.
