We did not meet Marissa during our stay at the Aldea, however this wasn't a problem for us. We did meet another young lady about 4 days into our trip who offered us her services should any problems arrive. We did not need to contact her as all went very well during our time in Playa Del Carmen.
We loved the Aldea Thai! We found the condo very clean, well stocked, great bedding, towels, etc. The whole resort was very clean, the pool was awesome with its swim up bar, not busy at all. The location we think is the best in Playa...steps from the best strip of beach and 5th Ave. We would definitely return to the Aldea Thai...much better than going to an all inclusive!
The host never appeared. It turned out a another company managed the apartment on behalf on the host. Marissa had told us that we could pay the deposit (which was not on the listing) by credit card, but it turned out it did not worked when we arrived! They did not wanted to let us access the apartment if we did not leave the deposit, but we did not have cash, so we waited 7 HOURS until it worked. They were not flexible at all with ANYTHING. We talked with Marissa over the phone and she was even rude to us.
Besides that, the place was great, very clean and the location was amazing. Just be sure to be well informed.

We had a very good experience at "Oceanview Studio steps from the Beach".
We spent 3 days at Kool Beach which also was so close. Marrissa Leos was kind enough to get us a taxi and help us check out when our flight back was unexpectedly changed and we had to leave early.
I would highly recommend Aldea Thai.
This condo is perfect. nice clean room. Perfect location, half block from the beach, and less than 2 blocks from 5th ave. There are lots of bars, shops, and restaurants close by. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I stayed in this studio for a week and had a lovely time. The complex is very beautiful and well kept. Just steps away from the beach and only a couple blocks from the downtown area – the location could not get any better. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this studio especially to a couple looking for a romantic, modern, fun place to stay.
Place surpassed our expectations. Best location for everything. Very clean. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The Oceanview Studio is a really a really nice place to stay in Playa del Carmen. It's located close to 5th. avenue, which is where most of the bars and restaurants are located, but far enough away that the action there won't disturb you at night. There is however a bar right below the appartment/condo, which will keep light sleepers awake.
Check-in is really easy and very quick, we had been on the road all day and just wanted to get to our room, this was a big plus! Upon arrival we were meet by a colleague of Marissa, who showed us the appartment, told us house rules and supplied us with soda and beer for the fridge. There is also a great pool, it's not very deep but it is big and clean. For us this was one of the selling points, and the place delivers. Sadly the in pool bar was closed, but we did visit during low season.
One shortcoming is that the room was a little worn down. The weather is tough on the buildings in Playa, which shows. We would definitely stay at the condo again, it's close to the city center, right on the beach. Good value.

About the Host, Marissa
"My greatest sense of satisfaction comes from seeing people genuinely enjoying themselves with family, friends, or that special loved one; sharing a laugh, a moment in time, a smile. I love making that happen.
Coming from the large industrial city of Monterrey, Mexico, where we're always running late, everything is so far, and we're surrounded by traffic and smog, arriving in "Playa" was a breath of fresh air, literally and symbolically. It gave me a renewed sense of self and a feeling of belonging, and now this enchanting place has become my home.
I've always wanted to dedicate my time to doing what I enjoy, and I am so fortunate to be doing what I love.
I want people to come and know Playa, to love Playa like I do, even if they're only here for a short time.
Once you get to feel the magic of this place first hand, it won't be the last."
