There is also a self-contained 2-bedroom apartment for rent on the property. Independent, on the top level of the villa.
A community of luxury villas overlooking one the worlds' most beautiful beaches.
The popular Jack's Bar is located below the property - very convenient for cocktails and eating.
BBQ party night with music is Tuesday's, in high season only.
There is a hiking trail along the cliffs into The Harbour and over to Lower Bay.
Water taxis are fun from Jack's jetty.
Land taxis inexpensive - needed for luggage transportation from ferry terminal or airport.
Cheap, fun, dollar buses available nearby on main road - there is a hill climb to reach.
Car hire not recommended, but if needed there is a large car park.
Other Things to Note
Not suitable for less abled people. There are steps up - for great views!
Villa residents, only, are permitted to use the shared pool.
Guests with vehicles are requested to use A Shade of Blues car park, not the driveway or Jack's Bar car park.
The driveway is not easy, so only approved taxi drivers for luggage transfers please.
We stayed here in December 2014, I would highly recommend it. The room is wonderful and had everything we needed. The location is fantastic - great views of the harbor from the balcony, walk down some wooden stairs (~ 5-10 minutes) to get to Jack's (a fun restaurant/bar) and beautiful Princess Margaret Beach. Monica answered all of my questions via airbnb, made sure we were picked up at the ferry when we arrived on the island, and left a lot of useful information in a binder at the apartment. There aren't breakfast places that are very close by (Jack's is open for lunch and dinner), best to either bring/arrange for some groceries to keep in the kitchenette for the morning or be ready for a ~30 minute hike or short water taxi ride from the beach to get to a restaurant for breakfast. We had a great time and I would definitely stay here again next time we go to Bequia.
Young at heart retired professional who loves living in the Caribbean. Am fortunate to own, with my husband, a property very close to one of the world's most beautiful beaches, Princess Margaret, Bequia.
I also love Cornwall, the UK county of my childhood. My husband took me away after marriage - to the USA, Florida mostly. Returning to UK, we now live part of the year in SE England, near our family, and part in Bequia.
We both love to swim and snorkel, so we just had to build our Caribbean home next to this beach. Being able to walk to and from the beach without the inconvenience of getting into a vehicle is such a joy.
As we have both traveled all over the world in our careers, we enjoy meeting the many and varied international visitors to Bequia. A fun, friendly, island that attracts many of the world's spectacular yachts, and the rich, famous, hard working, or bohemian traveler...everyone seems to love this island. Rum and music help with the fun!
The room we rent in our villa has it's own access. Guests are encouraged to help themselves to the kitchenette any time. We provide anything you need, but don't want to see you at breakfast!
