Ellen var veldig snill og grei! Stedet var utmerket, veldig lokalt og koselig. Masse interessante steder rundt omkring. Fredrikstad,Halden,Moss,Ytre Hvaler nasjonalpark...helleristninger og graver fra romertid og vikingtid i nærheten og mye mer.
Sjeldent bra sted!
Vi var kjempefornøyd!
Ellen was a very pleasant person and easy to converse with. The neighborhood was a small fishing community near the sea with lots of activities available. Unfortunately it rained three days out of four so our only trip highlight was to Halden to see the Fredriksten Fortress (not Fredrikstad) which was a must see!!
Ellen's rental is meticulously clean and beautiful and COULD be a knockout rental. Ellen needs to live in it for a couple days herself
(with no access to her house) to actually feel it's shortcomings.
I really enjoyed having Bob and his wife as guests, and Im glad you found the annex clean and beautiful. The annex is as listed an annex due to the size, there is no way to make it bigger. A fully ecuiped kitchen and a up to date bathroom with floorheating meet the standards of today. That is my tought of the annex after staying there before I bought the mainhouse. I hope you had a nice trip back to the USA. Regards Ellen
We had a great time at Ellen's house. The room was clean and Ellen was very kind and helpful. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything to cook a nice meal. The neighbourhood is just fantastic, all 2 evenings we spent in the marina, which is only max 200m from the house.
Thank you Ellen!!
The annex was very clean, well furnished and comfortable. Engelsviken is a small but beautiful village. If you don't feel like going to the restaurant, you can buy food from the supermarket or the fish shop (on the harbor). Take some time to walk around and go to some of the beaches close to the house, it's really worth it.
This small annex is well located (20 meters from the bus stop and grocery store) and very quiet. Engelsviken is very beautiful. The bed is okay but a change would make the stay even better ! Best regards
We had a great two day at Ellen's cottage. The cottage has a very efficient layout with a nice little kitchen and bath. Ellen was very accommodating with allowing us to occupy earlier in the day than originally planned. She has a nice private rear yard that is very peaceful. An excellent experience.
I loved Engelsviken, it was so nice. It is very calm and you can relax.
The little annex was cute and very clean!! We felt very comfortable.
Ellen was very kind and took us from the bus station to show us the house and on sunday evening she took us to the airport with her own car. Thank you again!
We were allowed to take 2 bikes the whole 3 days, so it was easy go to the beach and explore the neighbourhood.
One night we went to the famous fish restaurant.
This hideaway restaurant is set at the edge of the crescent-shaped bay that's dominated by the fishing hamlet of Engelsviken, population about 400 hardy souls. One of Norways best fishrestaurants.
