The Austria Room is a private room with a queen bed and a full bathroom. This room is accessed from the second floor porch. To get to the shared kitchen, you'll walk down the porch two doors to get to the fully stocked kitchen that is shared with two other private rooms on that floor. We have self-serve breakfast (oatmeal, tea, coffee), & WIFI are included. Must be over 18 to book; self check in anytime after 2PM.

The space
The Austria Room is a private room located at the Notso Hostel Main Location. It is on the second story of a two-story building. On the porch outside is a table, chairs, and a swing. If you have a car, know you can park wherever you like. Our gravel lot is off the street and close to the rooms.

We want to be very clear about the half-bathroom size. It measures 20 inches wide by 44 inches long, this is smaller than the average bathroom. It is comparable to what some European countries call "a water closet". We understand this may not be ideal for some people and that is why we list the measurements. If you book this room, you will have access to the larger, full bathroom as well. But please note the small size of the half-bath before booking so you are aware. :)

We are a hostel, so you can meet travelers from all over the globe. We have a contact-free, self check-in system that allows you to go straight to the room anytime after 2pm. We supply sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels. Showers have body wash and shampoo.

Earplugs and noise machines are also in the room.

Our breakfast is self-serve oatmeal, coffee, and tea.

There are also quaint independent shops like Beads on Cannon, and popular spots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner like Gnome, Fuel, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Bon Bahn Mi, and D’allesandros Pizza. On the corner of Spring and Ashley, there is a self-service bike rental station with Holy Spokes, a city-wide bike-sharing station. Wherever you find your spirit pulling you while you’re in Charleston, NotSo Hostel is centrally located to get you there!

The staff at the Notso Hostel are some of the lovelies locals around. Our favorite things to do are eat breakfast with our guests, daydream about traveling and keeping the hostel clean with having as little negative impact on the environment as possible. The hostel is a great place to meet people who enjoy traveling as much as you do.
