Some info has been automatically translated.
The culmination of 64 years of family history, Moosehead Lodge (est. 2002) provides a restful, spacious and luxurious experience for up to 12 guests. Perfect for family reunions, adventure travel, couples trips, girlfriend getaways, retreats, and anyone seeking a setting for an unforgettable vacation.

The space
In our view, "the finer things in life" are more than just things. At Moosehead Lodge, we expand the definition to include mindful mornings spent watching the sun illuminate the Sierras; feasts with your favorite people; long, leisurely days on the lake; and cozy evenings sipping wine by a crackling outdoor fireplace, enfolded in the deep, meaningful quiet of nature.

But the details matter, too, of course. At Moosehead Lodge, you will find careful craftsmanship and rustic elegance—from the spa-like baths and gourmet kitchen, to the soaring ceilings and majestic logs that comprise this dream-come-true cabin. Moosehead Lodge is close to Bass Lake, Yosemite National Park and local ski resorts. Only 1.5 miles to the lake for easy access but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy the peace and quiet. With a cozy homelike setting and plenty of room for the kids to play outside.. it is a perfect place for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.

What makes Moosehead Lodge so desirable to those who visit is the spaciousness of the cabin. It is large yet cozy and all who visit marvel over the fact that they can share the house with that many people and yet still feel that they have privacy. The 3 acre property is wooded and very quiet.

A few things to note: Bedroom six is not a private room as it doesn't have a door at its entry.

The basement room is available for an additional fee of $150 per night. It has another queen bedroom, full bathroom, and full kitchen and will sleep two more guests for a total of 14. It is locked off unless rented and will not be rented to other guests during your stay. There is also a large open area perfect for yoga retreats or other times when large open space is needed. The total square feet with the basement is 5000.

Other things to note
Please remember this is the mountains. There are mosquitoes, bats, bugs, and bears. Please remember repellent and have a "Great Outdoors" attitude if a bat finds its way into the house. Just please don't break everything as you swing the broom around to swish it back outside!!!

Neighborhood highlights

We are only 1.5 miles to the boat launch ramp and 2 miles from Miller's Landing where you can rent a boat or jet skis if you didn't bring your own. The south entrance to Yosemite is just about 25 miles away.

Go to the lake and rent a boat or jet ski, or just hang out by the water. Slide down the natural rock slide at the Falls where the snow water comes into the lake. Take a drive up to Yosemite. It is beautiful all year long. Take a train ride on a steam powered locomotive in Fish Camp. Hike on the trails around the lake. Take the kids to the Children’s Museum in Oakhurst. Go to the Chukchansi Casino in Coarsegold. Get a massage by a highly recommended masseuse Kirk Ramos at Yosemite Massage Therapy (he is amazing and will come to the house.) Or just relax on the deck and enjoy doing nothing!
