Just returned from a great stay at Jacqueline's guest house. Location was central and perfect for my needs. Parking was guaranteed and easy. The outdoor areas were just as lovely as pictured here and I thoroughly enjoyed working outside while gently swinging in the sun in her gated garden.
I was initially concerned because my flight landed so late, but Jacqueline graciously stayed up and met me outside to ensure I had no issue with parking or finding the house. She was very friendly and offered to show me the house and give suggestions for things to do and see, but I was traveling on business and running from meeting to meeting most days so I kept to myself. Jacqueline recognized this and let me do my thing which I greatly appreciated!
Wow, what a great place, so glad I found this little gem! It's so perfect for any younger creative person that wants an authentic LA experience of living like a local. Having an outdoor garden area was a huge bonus & it truly felt like a home. I've stayed at some of the top hotels in LA which were not nearly as comfortable (and 4 times more expensive) The bed is super comfortable, the luxury bedding, towels & robe included. Everything is exactly as it appears in the photos. There's a giant walk-in closet, a beautiful classic tiled bathroom, many windows and fresh air, the place was spotless clean. And to wake up & open the French doors to my own little garden area with singing birds & butterflies in the heart of the city & not feel like I was in an apartment building? Ahhh.. Bliss! This is such a convenient area that I walked to so many of my favorite places, I even borrowed the bicycle a few times for a quick jet to the Grove. Fun! The free parking next to the house was always available & so appreciated. Jacqueline even let me park there all day after check out so I could walk over to LACMA & see some art in the park! She's a terrific host, lovely person, very easy going, available any time I needed anything, but also gave me complete privacy. I felt as though the place was mine. I would definitely recommend this cozy cottage in a heartbeat. I hope to stay here each time I visit LA! Thank you so much Jacqueline!!
Jacqueline was the perfect host. She met us on the street when we arrived to give us the parking permit. The room was beautiful and large, and looks exactly like the photo. It had the feel of old Hollywood glamour, complete with purple tiled bathroom. The location was extremely convenient -- we left the car at the guest house and walked to LACMA and the Tar Pits. There was always a place to park on the street with our special permit. Jacqueline was considerate, reminding us of street sweeping, and available to answer all our questions. Highly recommended.
The location of the guest house was conveniently close to many places of interest for us including The Grove, LACMA, among other places and also conveniently located in the midst of major city thoroughfares, allowing us easy access to various parts other parts of the city.
The guest house itself was spacious, clean and well equipped as well as decorated. There was also a great outside shared lounge/breakfast area with couches and tables that looked very inviting, though it was too cold during our stay to take advantage of it.
Jacqueline was also a great host. She was very hospitable and made sure we had anything we needed and eager to give us recommendations of places to check out. Overall, our experience at Jacqueline’s guest house was excellent.
Jacqueline was a great airbnb host -- she provided accurate directions, met out arrival exactly on time , and even. graciously helped us in with our bags. Beyond that there wash;t much contact; though she provides an excellent written brochure with helpful neighborhood suggestions. The accommodations were perfect for us.

About the Host, Jacqueline
Friendly Artist. Traveler. World Music Enthusiast. Tea Drinker. I enjoy having fun outside the home & using my space as a peaceful sanctuary to return to. I'm an easy going, quiet, chilled out person, but also very tidy, reliable and responsible. At home, I'm usually painting, drawing, reading, editing photos, or planning a future trip somewhere new & interesting. I love nature & the countryside, exploring new cultures and customs, meeting new people, making new friends, learning new things. My favorite trips are usually to exotic or tropical places, pretty much anywhere I'm able to swim in a warm ocean or relax under a shady tree. I enjoy all the major cities too, but it's always a must for me to include a few nights in the relaxing countryside. One to appreciate the other! Meeting fun, kind & interesting other travelers is definitely an Airbnb bonus & I really enjoy being a host.
