The face of Paco has changed mightily over the years, butt vestiges of the old Paco can be found by the intrepid explore

Greg has got a tremendous house, the master room is actually bigger than in the pictures. Every detail is carefully chosen and staying here is a unique experience. There is nothing we did not like about it. Though it's true the neighborhood does not have sights of interest, you'd still need to move around by taxi if you were staying in a different one cause MANILA is so big and sights are so scattered that staying at greg's actually makes it central.
Coco's Garden is a beautiful place right in the heart of Maynila, close to Intramuros and with a supermarket two blocks away. We loved the easy going ambiance. Greg is very helpful and has a lot of practical information to offer. We felt very much at home and met some nice and generous people during our stay. We definately will come back as often as we can. Thanks for your hospitality Greg!
Greg has a beautiful house! It is a great location if you want to go to the paco park, rizal park or the intramurous.
Greg is also a great host, who gives you advise when you need it.
The rooms are very spacious and clean. We definetly recommand it, if you want to stay in manilla.
Truly enjoyed my visit. Greg was an excellent host. The house was very comfortable. Very large room, nice bed, warm water. Wifi worked very well. Location was desirable, at least for me. The grocery store was a reasonable 10 mins walk and taxis down the street. It felt like home away from home. We even had an opportunity to have thanksgiving dinner. I also took a cooking class with Oscar so I learned to cook chicken adobo. It came out great and Oscar is truly a chef. Nice to learn new cooking tips. I would definitely stay here again in future visit to Manila. Highly recommended. Thanks Greg for a wonderful time in Manila and for all your valuable tips and advice. I will definitely visit again in the near future. Please note it is not fancy Makati area...that is a different Philippines alltogether... unlike Intramuros, Paco and other districts where the majority of the Filipinos live-- and that is part of the charm... a
Thanks Greg, the host, for his warm hospitality!
Charming pre war bungalow and a room that's the size of a condo studio at a fraction of the price.
Got great French pressed coffee & warm toast for breakfast!
Will definitely visit again when I'm back in Manila!
I had two short but nice stays at Greg's place. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of interesting curiosities and art pieces. The garden is nice, quiet and the cats and dogs adorable. Moreover everything is perfectly clean, the wooden floor very nice to walk on, and the bed linen very soft :)
It is also not far from the airport (200/300pesos by taxi from the house with regular rate, 700/1200pesos from the airport with the extra costs for the driver).
I can highly recommend this venue for a nice stay in a quiet part of Manila.
Greg was a great host. He is a Manila tour guide as well as an Airbnb host so he has a deep and profound knowledge of the city's and country's history and culture. The room was clean, spacious and exactly as described. Greg gave me keys for the lock on both my room and the front gate (always appreciated) and was always understanding and accommodating to my needs. We were both pretty busy during my visit, so although we had a couple of good chats, we never had the chance to sit down for a good conversation. The only regret of my stay. :)

I am an American from San Diego who has resided in Manila for 26 years. I am a part-time guide in the historical district of Intramuros. My partner, Jorge, and I have 5 dogs and 4 cats. Our home is an early-independence period wood home, built in the gracious style of that period. With few home in Manila from this period remaining, you are going to experience the old-world style of 70 years ago.
