There was a bottle of wine waiting for us after our long trip! The place was just as lovely as the pictures! Very clean and the bed was awesome. The view from the porch was beautiful ...the whole place was so relaxing! Mark was great, very accommodating and shared much info. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and getting a "feel" for the area!
This was my Fiance and I's very first airbnb experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better one that Eileen & Mark's Mosaic room. The view overlooking the creek was absolutely beautiful, and provided a great back drop for morning breakfast & coffee. The location was also a very enjoyable walk to historic downtown Charlottesville. We were able to take advantage of this, and to leave our car parked for the entire weekend. Eileen & Mark were wonderful hosts. We would definitely stay here again!
Very sweet and comfortable. The bed is super comfortable. Nice to be in a house made by an artist. The view is great and you can walk down to the trail and the creek. Host is great with a perfect balance between providing information yet remaining invisible. They were delightful.
We had a wonderful time in Charlottesville and staying in Eileen and Mark's Mosaic Room! Mark and Eileen made us feel welcome by offering a bottle of wine upon our arrival and providing recommendations for things to do around town. The basement apartment is cozy--it feels like home. We particularly enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor patio area with a cup of coffee in the morning. While we did not have any questions during our stay, Eileen and Mark made it clear that we could come to them with any concerns we had. We definitely recommend the Mosaic Room.
This is the first floor of the house, with an independent entrance and a really nice view over the park from the room and the terrace. Eileen and Mark were at home when we arrived. They were very welcoming and we had some nice conversation. They even left a bottle of Virginia wine for us in the fridge!
The description was very accurate, plus some unexpected extras like a good audio system and an AppleTV.
We loved staying at the Mosaic Room with a View! It was so nice and peaceful. We really enjoyed the art in the room as well as the cozy feel of the place. Mark and Eileen were lovely hosts and treated us very well. No complaints here! This is definitely a great place to stay in Charlottesville.

About the Host, Eileen & Mark
We love having visitors! Come see all the colors of our artistic world. My husband and I are beach, boat & water lovers who might escape to the Atlantic Ocean, L.I. Sound, Eastern Shore, river, estuaries or creeks of any town or city with our kayak or a sailboat. I am an artist and he is a landscape architect. Space and water views inspire us, so relaxing with good food, music and a sketchbook at the beach is never a bad day! I won't complain about a day in an inspiring city, though. When we travel we're seeking peaceful views, comfort and something different. We make every effort to make those special experiences available for our guests.
