Private Room in Amazing Fort Greene

House - Private room · Clermont Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205, United States

Great room in vibrant house and neighborhood! You'll love our home and this community. The house is spacious and offers easy access to all NYC has to offer!

The Space

Cosy room with a great view of the backyard in the heart of vibrant Fort Greene!

The home is on a lovely tree lined street half a block from restaurants, bars and the Brooklyn Flea. There is easy access via a variety of subways to Manhattan. We are also just a few blocks from Fort Greene Park and the weekly farmers market. The neighborhood also has a great variety of restaurants and bars, as well as local gyms and yoga studios.

The house itself is 3 floors. The house is an historic Brooklyn turn of the century brownstone.
The first floor is the kitchen and living space with access to our back deck and yard. The great advantage to this floor is that it has no bedrooms, so you can come and go with whatever schedule you need and not bother anyone sleeping.
We have a large living room with couches and tv with premium cable. The kitchen has an 8 seater table to entertain at and a fully stocked kitchen for the avid cook! This floor also has a washer and dryer.

Upstairs 1 floor is the bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The top floor has 2 bedrooms. The bedroom for this listing has a full size bed and a great view of the leafy green yard! The room itself is quite small but a great place to crash for the night! This is a wonderful place to say but not suited to someone with a lot of luggage, since the floor space in the room is limited and no closets are available.

Living in the house are 3 guys, 1 girl and 2 kitties. This is a peaceful and relaxed house that can be a great base for a fun trip to NYC, whatever your reasons.

  • Great house a great place!! Dans was a very good host, although we didn't see her that much :-). We can definitely recommend the Brooklyn flea market just around the corner on Saturday morning.

  • Wonderful place! (Very) small room, but the house is wonderful, with a great kitchen & living to spend your time. We enjoyed the breakfasts & coffee there. The neighborhood is fantastic, and Dans et al are wonderful and helpful.

  • Dans and her flatmates were super accommodating and nice. The house is beautiful and within a great area with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. We loved it there. The room is clean and super small as mentioned before but you can hang out in the living room and kitchen as well.
I would definitely stay there again.

  • I loved staying here - the room is exactly as shown, small but clean and comfortable. It was just what I was looking for. Everyone in the house was friendly and easy going, and the cats were adorable too! It's a good location, close to several subway stations and the neighborhood has some great restaurants and coffee shops in easy walking distance. It's a nice, affordable and convenient place to stay!

  • The room is exactly as advertised: small, but in a beautiful house and great neighborhood. Dans and others are terrific, as are the kitties. Highly recommended for anyone on a budget who wants to check out NYC from a hip Brooklyn location.

  • Dans and her flatmates were lovely and welcoming. Their house is really beautiful and located on a classic Brooklyn street. Lots of great places to eat nearby, incredible houses to gawk at! The room we stayed at was definitely small, but cozy with a pretty view. The two resident kitties were absolutely adorable and sweet and made our stay even better!

  • Great neighbourhood, great house, great roommates! I had a really good time at 302 Clermont Ave - the place to be in NY! The room is small, but cosy and well equiped for a short stay if you do not have too many bags. The house offers anything you need after a long walking tour trough NY: delicious coffee in giant cups, a cigarette at the backdeck and a beer in the fridge. Several Metro lines are quite close and the neighbourhood offers some cool shops and cafés.
I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again!

  • Fort Greene is a great neighborhood with lovely cafés and restaurants, green spaces and great people around. We felt very at home there.
Dans and her flatmates are very nice hosts, giving us great tips for our long NYC walks. The room is rather small for two, which means that you can sleep comfortably there. For chatting and relaxing one can use the spacious kitchen and living room.
The bathroom is very nice and clean too.

  • My experience with Dans (and crew) was excellent. They were fun and friendly and made me feel like part of the house. My needs were perfectly suited in the little room - I didn't have a lot of baggage and needed more of a crash pad than anything. It was nice and close to everything I needed, and was in a great neighborhood. Recommended as a great place for a single traveler to stay on the cheap.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Dans' place very much. She shares a cool house with 3 other housemates, all of whom are really easy going and made us feel at home. The room is small, it just fits a double bed, but it's perfect for 2 people without a lot of luggage. We loved the balcony at the back, the well equipped kitchen, the 2 cats and the fact that we could use the washing machine. Across the street is a great supermarket and there are coffee shops and restaurants around the corner. There are a lot of subway stations of various lines nearby so other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan are easily reached. It's a great place and we would certainly stay here again.

About
I'm an Australian living here in beautiful Brooklyn. I live in a fabulous house with great room mates. Sometimes we travel or have space for someone else to come and stay so you'll find one of our rooms listed here. We love meeting guests from all over the world and welcoming them into our home. Currently 2 of us work in the theatre design and another in product design. Work takes us all over the world and we're all grateful for the opportunity to travel and explore new places.
