Interaction with Guests
I'm a very friendly person, so as much as they would like.
Enyinne was a great host. This was my first time with airbnb and I will for sure be using it again in my future travels. It was so nice to stay at a house, rather than at a hotel after such a quick and tiring trip across the country. Enyinne made sure that I knew where the subway was and offered me advice on how to get to the airport the next day. I will for sure recommend her place if I have friends traveling out that way in the future.
I had a major meeting to prepare for and Enyinne's hospitality took all the anxiety away! Very grateful Enyinne was my host in genuine truth, courtesy, and excellence! Atmosphere breathes peace, rest, and comfort! (Mat 25:35 - For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:)
Our plane was delayed leaving London and getting into JFK. Enyinne was incredibly accommodating as we arrived around 23h00. We only had 1 night and the experience was short, as we were up early the next day to catch another plane. The house is great, the room was spacious and clean and Enyinne was a super hostess and helped to book a taxi for us to get back to the airport.
The house and rooms are as pictured. Very neat and clean. Quiet neighborhood. Very easy to find with GPS. There is ample on street and off street parking. Felt safe and secure in this neighborhood.
The bedroom is ample size for two people. Comfortable bed, nice linens. Bathroom down the hall. It was a little noisy late into the night with activity on the main floor. Nothing that kept us awake though.
Unfortunately when we awoke and got ready for the day, there was not a soul in sight. No coffee, no breakfast, no note, nothing. (We rec'd a note on the bed at check-in that stated what breakfast would be the next day)
The house is located very near to the St Albans Veterans Hospital. In fact, it is in walking distance. Great for us because we were in New York visiting a dear friend there.
We were supposed to stay two nights but ended up only staying one due to a death in the family. Enyinne was kind enough to credit us with a free night when we want to go back. Certainly she didn't have to do that.
I also have to say that prior to our stay, after booking, there was no communication between us. Airbnb tells you to contact the host with final questions, verification etc and when I attempted to do that, I didn't receive a reply, via email or text message.
Once we were at the house though, Enyinne communicated via text several times.
All in all our stay was good, communication could have been better, and coffee was missed.
For the price, you can't beat this place.
This was a great experience from start to finish.Explicit directions for the cab from JFK which took 15 minutes and $22.
House was beautifully decorated and had everything you need for a short(or long) stay.
Enyinne and her sister were perfect hosts, unobtrusive but on hand to help when needed.Excellent park opposite for exercise and a number of fast foods in the area.Large mall 15 minutes away by cab.
Highly recommended for JFK layover.
Due to the airline strike we had to find an accommodation near the airport as soon as possible and just for a day... We couldn't find a better solution! Enyinne answered us in about 5 minutes, despite the fact that it was already late (10 PM) and a Saturday. The welcome was wonderful: we were really tired, and she just made us feel at home.
The house is really big and cozy and there are other bedrooms for the guests. The neighborhood is quiet and in about 10 minutes you can reach the JFK.
The best part was the breakfast: it was delicious, with pancakes, fruits, juices, eggs...
We were really lucky to find this accommodation!
