Spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath family home in lovely San Mateo Park. Very convenient for families or business travelers. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooks. Walk to Burlingame Ave for morning coffee, shops, restaurants, and twice weekly Farmers Market. Private, fenced, rear garden is shared with a studio cottage, which I use when I am in town. Otherwise, no one else has access to the back yard except you! 2 kitties live on the property, but have access to the back cottage and yard only.
Our beautiful and spacious 3 bedroom/ 2 bath home is located in the heart of San Mateo Park, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the bay area. Our guests enjoy walking to the wonderful Farmer's market and fabulous shops, cafe's and restaurant that line Burlingame Ave
The house can comfortably sleep 7, with additional air beds for larger groups. Please let me know ahead of time if you need our travel cot or toddler bed for kids.
Our master bedroom has a queen sleigh bed with 540 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and bright, skylit bathroom with shower. It also has a small flatscreen with Apple TV.
The large second bedroom has a double bed and optional twin cot, and can sleep up to three adults.
The third bedroom has twin bunk beds, toddler air bed, and optional queen airbed, for a total of 4 adults or 5 Kids. Crib, child's air mattress and twin size cot are stored in the hall linen closet (we have all of those, so no need to bring your own). The Full Sized bedroom and Twin Bunk rooms share a large skylit bathroom with shower stall and separate soaking tub.
Our large and sunny playroom is a blast for kids, with a wall of windows on two sides, and wonderful educational toys, blocks, magna tiles, puzzles, and books books books. Of course, we also have a flat screen tv with XBOX Kinect (tons of games for all ages) and Apple TV. Apple TV purchases are on an honor system. Please keep track of movie and tv show purchases and leave us cash before you depart. Thanks!
The kitchen comes stocked with coffee/tea and some breakfast items. Help yourself to anything else in the pantry or fridge, including butter, spices, beer, wine, dry goods, pasta, grains, coffee, tea etc. If you have unopened food, please consider leaving it for the next guests to enjoy.
Our kitchen has everything you need to cook large meals, including rice cooker, blender, slow cooker, waffle maker, coffee grinder and coffee pot.
Additionally the kitchen has a small dining table with seating for 4, and two high chairs for babies/toddlers.
Guests are welcome to use the washer/dryer in the garage. Help yourself to laundry detergent, stain remover etc.
Please note that we are storing items in the garage so it cannot be used to park cars.
Interaction with guests
I stay in the back cottage when I am in town, so I may or may not see you. You are always welcome to text or call with any questions.
Other things to note
There is a private studio cottage in the back yard, which I stay in when I am in town. Otherwise, it will not be occupied.
1) Absolutely NO SMOKING or vaping anywhere.
2) Please let me know in advance exactly how many guests over 1 year old will be staying. Unannounced extra guests will be charged twice the usual guest fee and may result in cancellation of your reservation. Please note that although my house is child friendly, I do include all guests over 12 months in the paid guest count. Babies are free, but toddlers are considered regular guests. Thank you.
2) PLEASE don't flush anything besides toilet paper. No tampons, wet wipes, condoms, pads in the toilet. We have very fragile clay pipes that clog easily. There is a minimum $300 charge for the plumber to come clear the sewer line. This charge will be deducted from the security deposit if guests flush tampons, condoms, wet wipes etc down the toilet. Please throw these items in the trash.
3 )Our neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and our neighbors have small kids, so please be considerate of noise, especially at night.
4)The Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly
assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
